So thinking about picking up this game for shits and giggles. It's buy to play, but it looks reaaaally interesting and you know, fun. Anyone played it or have thoughts on it?

But that was prior to release, and not long after.  Far before the latest changes that they've made.
Not that too much has changed by my understanding, other than the sub-turned-b2p model....

I just read that the cat followed up by visiting the dog house later that night, dropping some Willie Pete in on the sleeping dog.  #epochsfamiliarFTW

Worst 23 dollar investment. The concept was cool, but then it turned out to be a Turned Based Call of Duty: Shadowrun addition Sims butt fuck.

Pretty much this.  I had high hopes but found myself sorely disappointed with how it turned out Sad

Zigana was in compliance with all rules.

Gawna did a good job at enforcing the rules as she understood them.

Stainer is the rules lawyer.

Hands down, Zigana is the Vault's best poster.

I just picked this up on sale from Steam and have gotten fairly hooked; I don't know how long I will play, but for $11, it was a steal.

It's like a Laundry Files mmo; if you haven't read the laundry files, it's like a cross between James Bond and Call of Cthulu.

"Science makes godlike -- it is all over with priests and gods when man becomes scientific. Moral: science is the forbidden as such -- it alone is forbidden. Science is the *first* sin, the *original* sin. *This alone is morality.* ``Thou shalt not know'' -- the rest follows."

Love those books but you sell them short.  Each one is loosely written in the style of a different classic spy novel.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

If the combat were smoother, I'd probably only play TSW since I enjoy the urban horror theme. However, I'll usually play for a few weeks, get tired of the combat and then bounce around better active combat games.
