The player observed list can be found here:
http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=411111As an example, there don't appear to be xp pots available for shard turn in. This is by the poster's own admission the result of a cursory look:
Davyd Turner
100 +1 Arrows of Goblinoid Bane - 10 Signets of the Devourer
100 +1 Bolts of Goblinoid Bane - 10 Signets of the Devourer
Random ML:4 Ruby Augment - 30 Blades of the Dark Six, 10 Signets of the Devourer, 5 Shamanic Totem
Selectable ML:4 Ruby Augment - 8 Astral Shards
I would point out that some of the trades that look worse aren't really - 10 signets for 100 arrows vs 2 signets for randomly 20 at a time.
For the very common collectibles like Davyd Turner it doesn't look terribad. One TR through Tangleroot and some Tear farming probably gets you three or four cracks at an ML4 red augment for instance. Currently 30/10/5 would net you 200 random masterwork and +1 ammunition/throwers, 100 goblinoid bane ammo, and 5 random +1 ML2 weapons. Basically maybe 750-1000 plat of vendor trash. Same thing with Drumdoom and Goldscuttle level trades.
The problem is that what makes sense at those levels of trade should not have set the pattern for other trades. There was no need to change the Lordsmarch collectors for instance, since the potions of wonder are randomly assigned. I'd even be ok with them doubling the current cost for the alchemical House D trades based on being able to pick the exact one you want. 2 of whatever for a guaranteed +3 CHA skills or a +3 WIS? Sure. Same with some of the new and more useful potions - 2 of the rare collectibles for GH, deathward, or restoration pots seems OK to me. I seem to have been struggling through fine without them for years. Hell, maybe there will be more Necro groups if the collectibles are useful.
What's shitty for me are the changes to Eberron shards, the loss of Verisgante in undead form, and some specific wand trades. Wavecrasher manifests are a way I help a lot of newbie clerics for instance.
People focusing on the stupidity of trades for drowshoods or lightning split soarwood or whatever are distracting from the issue. Those have always been shitty. And it's irrelevant whether some ingredients are more useful in crafting - that's just an opportunity cost. If crafting us worth it to you, use them there, or spend them on augments.
