Just had them try to bill me for my sub 19 times!

Called the payment company and am dealing with it from both sides to make sure I don't have any issues with my credit.

This is why I use a pre-paid card for Turbine.  I put exactly as much as I'm going to spend on the card and then when they inevitably fuck up, I don't get screwed.  What a coincidence that they're "updating" their billing systems and people have this issue. 

Hope they fix it for you quick, Flint, that really sucks.

did this happen only when you were supposed to renew your sub, or just out of the blue?

curious cause i think my sub renews in 8 or 9 days.......so I might cancel my sub until this is fixed....

In Europe there's no real difference between a debit card and a credit card... and actually I'm fairly sure 99% of the Europeans don't know the difference, because what we call a credit card is in fact a debit card... and the real credit cards are not issued by banks...

So there's probably a lot of people foolish enough to put a debit card on a subscription because that's how we do things on our side of the Pond.

And I won't even go into weird local things: Checks are free in Froggy Land, and were until not long ago the most accepted payment way. Krauts love big bank notes and dislike credit/debit cards, as they have to pay for checks, they end up carrying and paying a lot of things with notes.
( The 100 to 500 Euro notes were made just for them basically. )
The Rosbeefs ( Ask Tere ) have also weird bank stuff... I had an account at the NatWest ( Or National Westminster Bank ) when I was a student there, and they closed it because I wasn't using it enough. ( that is I put some money on it every time I got money to put on it and I was trying very hard to avoid using it beyond what was really needed, like any student with a working braincell. )

Anyway, one more reason for me to change my credit ( in truth a debit ) card information to one of these E-Card my bank offer on the Turbine Account. I can restrict everything on it ( how much is taken, how many times, how long the card is valid, ... )

well we don't have our own countries anymore... everything is controlled by the European Union.
( and the Local Governments are just here as yes men and points towards the EU as the guilty party when something unpalatable is voted )

The latest I've heard was it was a combination of the account maintenance and the expiration of subs at that time. So it was probably an isolated issue. Which of course means "IT SUCKS TO BE ME!"

From what I was told on the phone, I'm getting the Feather of Sun'ed charges back. That's all.

I could get angrier depending on how long that takes. If they don't act fast enough I might start pressing for more restitution. Which I bet will get responded to with their version of "We are sorry but all we are required to give you is a refund of the false transactions."
