1000 plus runs total on various toons.

Never saw a single scroll/shard/seal in any run I was on.

About 80 runs and I've yet to see the sword itself drop in chest or as an end reward. I have the shard and seal, no scroll or item.

Since it came out. Two base items two scrolls 2 seals all easily aquired. Lost several rolls to guildies and pugs. I gave up long ago. Atleast its an elite item, what chaps my nuts is the shard to eChimera's fang i wanted for my Paladin just for flavor its been well over a year with innumberable chests chances and its not just me farming this is runs with guildies there simply for extra chest pulls.

Where as the fang seals and shards are just piling up in my bags.

I think I wound up with eSoS and Red armor shard after 5-10 runs. Had to farm the seal a bit, but that may have taken a week (in the days of 1 per day epic runs).
Had to kill a ton of CR 11ish hobgoblins for that scroll though...

I sold my SoS shard during Bagapolooza for a bunch of other shards and seals I wanted more.

The shard drops actually pretty frequently, most people who complain just aren't willing to make trades for it. You gotta be cutthroat. There's 12 chances for the shard every time you run the raid, fuck everyone else and buy it with scales. I got my esos made in 19 runs. So if you multiply those runs by 12 I got 228 chances to pull the shard on my character. People will sell, I've bought many things in this game and people are willing to part for nearly thing for the right price.

It also helps to have friends so you don't have to buy things. The above option is for the completely socially retarded. (When I was playing this game, even though I was the worst person ever even I had friends).  I got mine given to me by a friend, same with the seal and the scroll.

Also don't be a stupid fuck and expect to get the scroll in the raid. Scrolls rarely if ever drop in the raid, it's much easier to just farm it out in evon1. (Not sure if this mechanic has changed). Evon1 also gives you extra chances for the seal, and since you can faceroll through the epic and farm all day long the seal should be easy as fuck now.

I always scroll farmed in the raid, got the chest, ddoored, rested and started over.

must've been around 120ish runs, but i didn't actively look for it, so it was real nice surprise when i got it, did a few farm runs for the seal after i got the shard, that took about 3weeks

the disgust in the voice of my buddy when i used the esos as a joke portal beater in shroud on my then PURE MONK was delicious

Two and a half years, 12 toons, and I don't have a single component apart from the base item.

Of course, I've only ever run the raid twice; once on Heroic and once on Epic, but still...  two and a half YEARS, man!

I traded 2 shards away during the bad trade event for shit tons of seals and shards that I wanted. I did the same with red dragon armor, 4 shards of them.

Bibs are the best. Everyone should have 7, for each day of the week.

Mrs. stainer has limited me to two pair. I can only wear them on the weekend. Mostly when I am not around her.

Make an example of Strake. I already made another offer that Strake has ignored. This is cute and all, but it doesn't change the fact the Strake whips out the admin card whenever he's challenged. He doesn't ever have to get along with me but if he doesn't shed his inner Tolero, shit will get old here and he won't have decent people left to ban.

Not that you've banned anyone decent yet anyway.

Strakeln is not a spur of the moment guy. It takes him a second to gather his thought. When I pissed him off and he removed my admin privileges he took a week or two to think about it first. He is an engineer (non train) so it takes him a minute. So what I am saying is STFU AND LET ME WORK MAH MAGIC

Yeah I find the time farming them will take longer then a "bug" making them tradable happening again.

I got most of my hard to find things during those days. Was well worth it for the farming impaired.
