I'd take allowing the cache to at least roll-over so things you won't use in a particular life can stay there.

iirc, in the past year they did increase the "shared bank storage" from? 50?? to 80??.

That's it in so far as I know. We def need some more storage options BtC/BtA anything at all *imo*.

There has been tons of ideas well, make it so TR cache you put stuff back into it as well is 1 I

like/remember. It is possible there might be technical limitations at this point but I don't care we

need something.

There are some other easy thing which might help.  Stacking SF pots past 10 is an easy example.  Between those, Yugo pots and such, it seems easy...

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Who are you talking about btw? Just so I know it's not me, you know, 'cause I posted here as well, you very intelligent person you, in case you haven't noticed.

And seeing as you are all so concerned, no vacation for mentioning the vault in the official forums, just an infraction... as if that means anything, psh.

Flav wrote on May 25th, 2013 at 2:02am:
It would definitely drop the hatred level...
Well fixing the 3 divines ( Cleric, Paladin and FvS ) trees so that :
- Clerics have healbot, Melee, offensive Caster trees
- FvS have Melee, defensive caster, offensive caster
- Paladin have an offensive buff tree, a defensive buff tree and a holy warrior tree
would result in about 80/90% drop in hatred.

Add something for dual rapier wielding rogues that is not assassin or pole dancer,
Tweak things so that we don't have to waste points on useless crap ( there's always something like that in all the trees, it's either between tier 3 and tier 4 or between tier 2 and tier 3 in some trees you have to waste up to 10 points in shit stuff to get back to interesting things )

And you'll get a convert.

Or, how about DROPPING THE STUPID FUCKING PRESTIGE-TREE MODEL ALTOGETHER?!?  FFS, you're trying to polish a turd here.   Roll Eyes

It's already the case that abilities which have been fundamental to classes for years are split across multiple trees, and the incredible lack of imagination displayed by whoever came up with this festering blob of sputum has resulted in the remainder being largely padded with fucked-up useless prerequisites and totally worthless crap.  What in the name of stainer's nipple do you think we'll end up with if they create yet another fucking tree?  You'll have to spend so many points to get something you care about that your build will end up even more of a one-trick pony.

It doesn't fucking matter that some builds work out just fine and others don't: it is not individual classes that need fixing, it's the whole fundamental approach.  As it stands, a true multiclass like a 12/8 split is going to be able to select from three of four trees, and a three-class split gets three of six... and there's NO GOOD FUCKING REASON OTHER THAN A SHIT UI.

Yes, caster clerics (to take one example) are ass-raped with a cactus, but - speaking as someone who very much loved his caster cleric - even that is a side issue.  Any class could get fucked over by the stupid intrinsic to one tree.  The problem here is much, much bigger; the asinine design is proof-positive that whoever came up with it doesn't understand their own fucking game.

As DDO has a 3-class limit, three trees would be just fine if there were one per class, just like there is now.  It would be incredibly simple to throw out the useless crap and end up with just enough good shit for one tree each.  Some enhancements could lock out others and there could and should be so much stuff you want from each class tree that you can't afford even half of it without going pure, but there is literally no sodding need whatsoever for the retarded limitations that were in place in the alpha.  The power you can derive from a class should be limited by the number of levels you take in that class, not by the amount of space available in a vomit-inducing GUI.

Some people are happy because their favourite build isn't feather_of_sun'ed, others are looking at the things you can do with the new approach, but both camps are missing the point that the underlying design is asinine.  After all this time waiting for the enhancement pass to happen, it's completely fucked-up to not rage about the unnecessary limitations in what they're presenting.  They could have enabled people to build a larger number of viable toons with interesting abilities, but precisely the opposite is happening.

TL,DR... Hoping for yet another tree per class to fix the steaming pile of ratshit that is the enhancement pass is like accepting that they're going to cut your legs off if only they'll give you a broom to shove up your ass to go with the crutches.  How about you hope that they don't cut off your fucking legs?

PS:  Flav, this isn't really directed at you, yours was just the last post I read along those lines.  I'm just generally pissed that people are starting to accept the idiotic limitations inherent in the design as though there's some good reason for them when there's absolutely not.

Oh I agree with you, it's just as they have to shove down our throat forcefully the steaming pile of shit called Enhancement Pass, just for the same of a nice tree based thing because that's what all the other games do.
As such I'm trying to do my best to make them change things that can be changed. Sadly it's a a done deal that we will have to suffer that stupid, idiotic, retarded tree based pile of manure, so trying to change the content of the pile of manure is what I'm trying to do.

I'm quite happy with the enhancements as they are right now, and I really would have preferred that they add things to it than the just scrap it and do something shitty instead.

Sadly it's not the only change they made that's going to kill the game in the long run... The Retarded Streak is also damaging the game as newcomers cannot join Elite/IP/BYOH/Streak/Zerg groups, as they get filtered our as a danger to the precious XPs.

completely agree....not sure a complete overhaul was necessary...if they thought it looked "ugly" you can put a new UI on it and leave the guts (generally) the same.

You guys continually fail to understand.  They aren't revamping enhancements for current players.  They are doing it to make it easier to understand for new players.  They don't give a fuck about you.

are there new players?  their focus group must have told them that in order to be seen as a "real" MMO they need to have paid expansions every year or so...

I think they still believe they can attract new players with FR content.    It's the only context in which Iconic Heroes make any sense.  This would also assume Turbine advertising which has never been a strong suit.

If I didn't know better, I would almost think some of this shit is just being worked through and tested for a future game.

There are dozens to hundreds of un-guilded level 1-3s on at any given moment in time.  Are they new?   I assume many of them are.

There's a new "Legion of Newbs" guild forming every couple of months.

I think in every F2P game there will be a primordial soup of low level players who are trying it because it's free or play once a month the question is how many climb out of the muck.

Sadly, I have reached the same conclusion.

I have also seen the kind of players they will most likely be attracting with these tactics.  The kind of players with the attention-span of a gerbil, who will play this game for maybe 1-2 months and then move on to the next new "shiney", probably without spending a dime.

Meanwhile long-term core players seem to be leaving in record numbers due to these same changes (but obviously hard to tell for sure without access to Turdbin's data).  The things they are changing are the same things that distinguish this (admittedly niche) game from all the other WOW-wannabe trash out there.  Too bad really...
