Paper Dolls and Glamered Armor

We're those release notes a complete marketing fail, or is the target audience different from what I imagine.

Quote:
Cosmetic armor, also known as Glamered Clothing, has one type of visual appearance and can be applied for all classes, races and gender - except Warforged in most cases.
Warforged have exclusive Glamered Armor for their race.
Glamered armor is available in heavy, medium, light, robe, outfits and select costumes.
The effect of the cosmetic item can be toggled on and off on your characters inventory paper-doll, or removed from the cosmetic equipment slot and placed back in your inventory.
Cosmetic armors have unlimited uses and are bound to account.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Is you're name a reference to you're spelling/grammar skill, or you're drama sussing ability?

Armour appearance kits have needed overhaul for quite some time, this change should come as no surprise. The term "paper-doll" is being used correctly...

So yore problem with those notes is what?

"glamered" is the correct spelling.

Maybe I missed the point.  I thought he was mocking the term glamered, although appropriate in context, as giving the unintended feeling of childishness or silliness by the term being visually similar to the term glamorous, especially when paired with paper dolls, although appropriate in context, as making it feel like they are making DDO akin to playing dress up with dolls.  Add some glitter.  Bedazzle those pants.

If he was going for the grammar angle, I was off the track.

I like glamoured or glamored better, but I will acknowledge that glamered is an acceptable spelling.  Just a stupid one whose parents dress it funny.  And yes, I do know that it's a specific term for D&D, but it's still a spellign that I don't like.

http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Glamered_%28armor_property%29

Also, I'm leaving the typo in because it's awesome.

Not a grammar angle.  You got my point.  Fixed my misspelling. Not a word I type often!

Okay, Feklar, you were that kid that was playing with barbies while the other kids were playing with GI-Joe, and you thought it was the same and you couldnīt see the difference.
Please, do not misunderstand me. I am totally OK with a male playing with barbies. But there is a difference.

but this glamered stuff is meh so far and way too pricy, sure ddo art department is good, but not 1k TP for an armorkit good

It was bait. Far to obvious to be fallen for, I realize, but couldn't resist.

The difference is purely one of perspective. Other than that, it's just kids playing pretend...

Perspective is everything. Actually colors do not exist, and some guys are saying our Universe is just a projection of 2 dimensional information.

well if that's the case it proves the devs have played the game. once you've capped xp, what are you doing?  looking for that seal of house dun'robar with the stunning +10 or upgrading your celestia is not very different from playing fucking barbies and looking for the shiniest shoes.
