The 100hours timer on that game only rolled back to zero for me like five or six times, didn't like the game much obviously Undecided

I looked up the strat, and was like 'oh, I see', but it had lost me at that point.

The game was no great loss, trust me.

Final fantasy tactics was the best game ever. I want another game just like it.

I had every character in the game maxed out.  All. Of. Them.  I feel your pain

I'm playing FFV right now on an SNES ROM and it's job system is comparable to Tactics.

No, I like the fighting in tactics.

Aha.

You might like the old Shining Force on the Sega in that case.

Shining Force 1-2
Front Mission series
Disgaea

I grew up on FFVII, and have played it many times over the years, its cliché I know but it is my favorite, I understand why people don't like it though, I hate that the emo'd cloud up.

I was too young at the time to understand FFVIII's summon equip system so I waited till recently to pick it up, and I enjoyed it.

FFIX I thought was okay.

FFX. . .I have a love hate relationship with this game. on the one hand it is tied for first as my favorite FF game. loved the characters, I actually almost cried at the end. however, I hate it because it was the start of the cinematic movie with some gameplay that has been the FF series ever sense.

Yeah, they aren't the same. I have played most tactic based games out there, especially the old ones. Some of them were okay, none of them the same.

As far as main series FFs go, my favorite is still a tie of 12, 7, and 9. 12 stands out as being the most fun I've had during boss fights.

The online ones are good, especially 14 AAR.

Spin offs, like FF Tactics are also great, but SquareEnix puts out a ton of good and bad games nowadays, so it's hard to keep track.

I've been playing Bravely Default a lot recently. It feels like the old FF games, before ATB was a thing.

10 and 10-2 are great storywise, but I feel 10-2 was super rushed and, as SE's first Direct Sequel game, it had a lot of issues.

Definitely in my Top 5 Ever list. even the remake for PSP was great, and I bought it again for my iPhone just because it was there.

They did improve models and textures. But... not worth buying just because of that.

Improved graphics some and it's the international version. That means you get the "expert" sphere grid and a few additional abilities, as well as being able to fight the "dark" aeons which are apparently really challenging.

Personally, just having it on PS3 without having to have a backwards compatible unit (which I actually do) is pretty worth it to me. FFX is my all time favourite FF game, as well as my all time favourite RPG. 40 bucks is worth it. And now maybe I'll actually finish FFX-2.

Cool, sounds like the same thing they did with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 re-release (aka my wife's favourite game).  To the video game store!

I believe I already wiped on dark aeons... 3 years ago? Maybe more. This Sleipnir or whatever this lightning horse called.

Expecting my X & X-2 remastered copy tomorrow. Excited to play this gem* again after so many years. Even with no updated graphics, I would still buy it just to have a PS3 version.

*I mean FFX. Never played X-2 on ps2. Will probably try it this time.

Having never played a FF game before would this be a decent title to try it?
