Yeah, they aren't the same. I have played most tactic based games out there, especially the old ones. Some of them were okay, none of them the same.

I feel the same. FFT mechanics - both the fights and the job system - is probably the best game mechanic I've ever seen. There is definitly room for improvement, but for the time it was amazing.

Through other FFS class mechanics is somewhat similar, it is not the same.
Through the combat mechanics in other tatics game is similar, it is not the same.

The story was also pretty imersive at least for me...

Currently it is possible with some tools out there to rearrange  jobs and skills as you please to make your own job system, it is amazing.

But the graphics feel outdated, I'd really love to see a new game (and don't get me started on those lame gba FFTs. they should have never taken the name)

Also, I'm probably the only person on earth who loved FFX-2 more than the original.

Had great laughs with that game. Dressing Paine in the fluffy dresspheres just to see her pissed off was worth a game alone

Having never played a FF game before would this be a decent title to try it?

hey, never owned a console before I bought that PS3 ~3 years ago and even then I mostly bought it for the bluray player and wipeout.

I am a PC person, if a game is available on both platforms I will chose PC since <720p without decent AA/AF on 110" looks kinda shitty compared to the 1080p 4AA/16AF my PC can deliver

I would fucking commit mass murder for another game like previous playstation FFT. The GBA was horseshit and an insult to the name.

I just read that the cat followed up by visiting the dog house later that night, dropping some Willie Pete in on the sleeping dog.  #epochsfamiliarFTW
