I really hated playstation 3, but with this garbage I won't do xbox one. I just don't feel like getting a 2nd internet line/ip dedicated for the xbox one. And I sure as hell am not crawling under desk to keep changing plug from pc to xbox either, since my pc is what stays on 24/7.

So here is hoping playstation doesn't do this and has a few good rpg's.

NO Sad
Had too many problems before with wireless so don't feel like going back to that.
I guess the router way could work when someone not on the pc. Actually forgot all about that.

Yes because two wires is such a pain to set up.

seriously its a small network, it can be setup by a child, if you already have an always on connection why on earth is the xbox one's DRM a problem.

I don't plan on stealing games, or modding my console. They are leaving the option for selling games to the game manufacturers, so it isn't even their deal.

And if a game requires the disk to play, and i trade it in now, it is effectively deleted from my library of games already, how is this any different?

1st point - I trust my internet connection, and my home network. If they break I can either fix it (home network) or bitch out Comcast and get a free month of internet. What I do NOT trust is the Microsoft side of this equation - what happens when their "check in" servers go down?  NOONE can play games.  Fuck that.

2nd point - Xbox has completely removed the ability to sell disks to non-approved retailers (smaller local businesses) and also the ability to sell old games via sites like Craigslist, eBay, or even a garage sale.  Fuck that too.

We received additional information about online check-ins, as Spencer shared that tethering a mobile device can handle a license refresh. "It's kilobytes, not megabytes," he confirmed. "You can also set your console to always have the latest bits in a standby state." Later, Spencer was concrete, "If you have no ability to connect to the Internet, the Xbox One is not the console for you."
