You could always try not getting hit by the traps. when i left, you could time the traps so you could move past them to get to the valve, and while running toward the valve, target it then jump on it to safely activate it. is it still true? acid damage from casters can be prevented by stunning, tripping, commanding, charming the casters first. the melees arnt that strong to inflict much. has anything changed?

Nope. You are still correct. Ima is really trying hard to make this quest seem tough when its not. Ima - In game vendor pots. Cheap and easy. house P buffs. Boat buffs. an <gasp> acid resist item. Actual play skill <double gasp!>. It is possible to complete the quest without res cakes or a healer at level. It just takes bringing some basic resources and game skill.

	You're not even a good troll. You should lurk more and take note. I mean, no one expects you to reach Azog's level of mastery, but there's a minimum acceptable level for the Vault, and you're way far away from it.

Nightshield scrolls to mitigate Magic Missle, (UMD required or Shield Clicky if you choose not to invest in UMD) Resist Acid-20 potions from the vendor in the 12 Cure serious wounds potions and Wands from appropriate vendors. It's a lot easier now that the loot level is turned up so high - even a first-life / first toon on server can afford to buy these things at level.
