Nobody in his right mind is ever going to Epic TR a character that has 2 or more capped destinies.

Depends on what the feats grant.

What he did confirm was whether all your destiny gets wiped if you TR. If there was any way that was not the case, he would n't have avoided the subject.

The only way that doesn't make me quit (assuming U19 hasn't already) is if they lock in every single capped destiny the day of U20.

I was going to say that I can't fathom how anyone could think this is a good idea, but then I realized the devs likely don't have an 'organic' (non-god mode) character they have unlocked and maxed epic destinies with. They don't play the game like other people. Certainly not like me and my friends.

As long as you get a "past life credit" for each capped destiny that you have when you Epic Reincarnate, I'll be satisfied.  If you only get an Epic Advantage for one Destiny per life, then I'll end up playing exactly as much DDO as I do now.  Which is not at all.

I'm not sure what would bring me back.  Having an end game available to play again would be nice.

No. As far as I know, the USDA doesn't certify video game characters.

Question though - if I TR into say a bladeforged, and take it to Pally 20, do I get both the Bladeforged life PL and the Pally Class PL?

If so, it would be an easy way to get my cleric PLs on my sorc - maybe not quite as fast as an Ottos, but still faster than a standard TR.

others have said this, but the ONLY way I would even consider tr'ing (or even playing, for that matter) if this goes out as described would be if you kept fate points. It would still suck harder than 10,000 galaxy-mass black holes, but at least the worst part of the destiny grind would be bypassed on your next life...

That's an important point.  You don't need to have each life's fate points stack up with the previous lives' fate points, but you shouldn't lose the ones you've already built up.

That's what most of the grind really is since most of us don't give a crap about any destiny except the one we spend most of our time in and the one "sandbox" destiny that we like to mess around in.

You forgot that you care about the Epic Destinies you need to be able to twist from.

Nah.  Pretty much all of the stuff that people want to twist is stuff that you can pick up in 20 minutes of Rusted Blades.  I don't think anyone is going to care about losing access to anything that is ED level 3 or below just because it's so easy to get back.

It's the long path back to your destiny of choice or the actual fate points themselves that are the real grind.  Individual destinies aren't bad compared to what people did to get those last few fate points on their character.

Now you're starting to see it.  If you want to twist from a distant destiny, you have to grind back to it.  Also, you are stupid if you think Rusted Blades is the best way to farm Epic Destinies.

It's ridiculous. It's screwing over any of the multi TR crew who do spend time earning destiny points at cap, and it is permanently alienating the ones who don't.

Even the Epic advantage isn't exactly exciting. Ooh, rank 55. That is level 12, right? And it isn't the early levels that are the pain.

I hate the thing and I barely TR. I feel sorry for those that do.

The way this is being described per producer glinn, I can't see the good in it.  The OP basically says if you worked on destinies and have more than one maxxed, you are fucked.

I have one character out of 16 that's in that position.  My cleric that got shafted by the changes brought with the release of MotU.  Every other character has at least 5 destinies maxxed.  A couple have all maxxed.

So, if I want to continue my road to completionist (heroic), kiss my multi maxxed destinies goodbye.  Kiss my earned fate points goodbye.

Seriously, who the fuck thought this would be a great idea?  I'd like to break their face...

I'm as big a fan of yours as the next guy but I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly you told us. You said you were hopeful. Hopeful that what, they would break our spines like twigs?

Heroic TR killing earned ED XP is not a happy thing. In fact, as far as I know, in the current game, it's considered a bug.

I think he means he told us we'd get to know early enough to shoot ideas like this from orbit.

I don't see it as a problem as long as fate points are retained.  I have fun TR'ing (on life 25), when I stop having fun, I'll quit.  I don't think this will ruin my fun.
