Sindarin, only 3 Background points, I didn´t like them too much. Better the Silvan elves.

Well the split : Sindar/Sylvan/Noldor wans't thin enough for my taste whe I GMed MERP...

I made tables with more details.
If you managed to get an elf you had to roll to know if you were a Vanya, a Noldo, a Teleri or an Avari ( yes I was that nerdish at that time... I was even writing things in cirth )...

Then if it was Noldo, Teleri or Avari you had another table to know where you came from.
( No roll for the Vanya... you came from Aman, and you'd have to have a huge background to explain me how you ended being a lost Vanya on Middle Earth at Level 1 )

Oh and the tables changed with the Ages... So in the end it was 6/7 different tables just for a fucking elf. ( and yes I also made the table that gave the stat bonuses and the background options and such... ah, the good old PnP time )

Now my MERP collection ( everything except Palantir Quest and Last Edition Screen, but including reprints, and cover color/art changes ) is taking dust on the shelves of my library

Ah, that's what I missed from the boring "official" forums.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  Cheesy

Oh, and I have no idea where  I'm from.  That's why Grey Elf worked IMO.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

It is fairly natural to assume that the fair price for the pot is the fair value of the resources I needed to make the pot plus the fair value of my labor.

RM 4th Edition should be available soon, it's in extended Playtest right now.
( sadly only available as PDF or print on demand )

www.ironcrown.com

For MERP sadly Tolkien Enterprise ( aka Saul Zaents, aka Middle Earth Enterprise ) is holding the rights, and they went in anal mode when they finally managed to kill MERP ( basically they grabbed all the products ICE had in stock and destroyed them, then went hunting on the net with Cease & Desist injunctions for all the PDF that appeared... For a long while  MERP was substitued by 'Not-RM' on ICE forum )
