something is funny with level 11 across the board

maybe better to even it out at level 12 than 14?  still need about 840,000 to get from 18-20

Level 11 is where they fix the early deviation from the "10,000 x current level = XP to reach next level" they did at level 1 and level 2.  Technically, it should be 10k to reach level 2, for example, but they only make you earn 5k.  Likewise, you should need 20k of additional xp to get to level 3 (30k total) but they only make you earn 15k to go from 2 to 3. (20k total XP earned).  That means that you are 10k behind.  From there, it is correct. on the formula from level 3 through level 9. Then, at level 10, they add that 10k back in.  It should only take you 100,000 xp to level from 10 to 11, but they make you go 110,000.  From level 11-heroic cap they maintain the correct ratio.

1st Life XP has been that way forever.

You can make up that difference with Von3 almost entirely.  Most people have dropped Von3 from their TR farming because they want to save it for Epic levels.  If the new change to reset the counters after x days happens, you can farm it to your heart's content again.

My computer at the time couldn't handle running the shroud without constant stop and go motion, so I didn't run that quest for the first six months or so it was out.

Although I did have a "bowbarian" running around for a while with crit rage 1 and 2 with only 10 barb levels.  That was pretty entertaining at the time.

Hmmm.  Maybe that's an idea for Epic Shroud.  Instead of adding more powers, lett the Epic Shroud turn ML 12 weapons/items into the original ML 8 weapons/items.

Flattening the XP curve doesn't solve the underlying problem.  Fixing level 17-20 quests to net better XP is what's needed. 

Again, the devs don't play their own game.  We go from 15k first time completion XP at level 18 to 45k first time completion at level 20 in epic content.

Mine were in my TR bank when I deleted tala and devorien.  I thought I would get them back when I paid for the undelete feature because it was within the first couple hours it was available and not TR bank recovery was not posted yet. After my characters were brought back and no TR banks I was pissed. I rechecked the thing and it showed the newly added sentence. I tried complaining about it, that I paid for a service that they changed after it was paid for, but it didn't get anywhere.

I am still pissed about it.

What I'd really like to see would be a slight change to the overall XP needed.  Make TR1 be Base XP needed x 1.5.  Make TR2 be Base XP x 2  (Rather than 2.3).  That would make TR2 be 3.8 million to cap.  Use the flat multiplier like in earlier post.  It would be smooth, not too much extra at any level, and still be a decent hill to climb. 

I don't see that happening, but a combination of wiping out 600k and moving about 300k to earlier in the process would make TR'ing fun vs. being a chore.

Turbine seems to really focus on making sure that players have enough irritating grind to make us want to pay to skip that irritation.  I think that they'd do a lot better by making the game more fun in general by reducing the irritation instead of just allowing us to buy our way out of it.

This is not true.  In fact, the fastest experience per minute comes at the high levels.  This is just going to slow people down, which is probably one of their goals.
