Maj Mal :
Just make a note for monday morning :
Tell the fuckers that think Clerics have been fixed by adding a new tree that they are wrong.
Clerics are a dead class if the enhancement come live that way, nobody will be playing to play a nannybot, despite the new tree.
The Powers that be have to understand the following :
- The Protection Tree HAS TO GO, PERIOD. It is The weakest Link. Just put it at the bottom of the trash pile and forget about it.
- A tree to replace protection will be a great plus, but it is not mandatory
- Wasted points Have to go, right now at Enhancements take 2, I wasted, yes wasted 18 points on unwanted enhancements in the Radiant Servant tree alone.
The best way to do that is to make the point tiering by calculating overall points spent and not points spent by tree, This bit is true for ALL the trees of ALL the classes.
- There is too many active shit, no more than 2 by tree, and if you can go all passive it's even better. We are not chimps that can play with our hands and our feets, Right now the typical cleric is already running with 12+ bars, Adding active things is beyond retarded, as we already have too many clickies to manage, We are NOT going to take them.
I'll make a more politically correct post tomorrow on the main forum, but right now, from how things are going, you can look at a lot of persons leaving permanently for NWO just because of the enhancement pass.
Edit : so Basically what we were told that the Enhancement pass was Set is Stone and that NOTHING would change except a few tweaking appears to be right.
Ah Sure, as a Hjealbot even my gimpiest cleric will be better... but I don't want to be JUST a Hjealbot.
I agree and disagree.
Disagree:
The new tree is much better than anything clerics have on live. DC bumps and universal spell power are solid additions.
Agree:
The protection tree is stupid and should be scrapped. I'd rather have two trees that at least have some redeeming value rather than a three where one is a total waste. Stay with 2 until you add a melee tree.
I also agree that the point costs are too damn high (where's the meme?) and clickies suck. 90% of these should be passive.
Disagree: People will leave to play NWO. NWO is not making any friends. People who want non-heal bot clerics will not find a home there. People may leave the game, but saying they will go to NWO because DDO doesn't have enough build options would be like saying that people will change their favorite player from Chad Johnson to Aaron Hernandez because they don't like rooting for players who are not good, law-abiding people.
Nobody thinks NWO is a more flexible build/character development game than DDO, even if you hate the enhancement pass.
