I think all caster clerics will go here...I think the doom alert
has to be rescinded a little bit Wink

http://ddowiki.com/page/Divine_Disciple_enhancements

Core enhancements
Emissary - follow the path of light or dark +5 alignment + {+5 neg OR +5 light} SP
Sacred Defense: +2 saves
Granted Spell (added to spellbook): Enervation or sunbolt (1d4 + 4)/CL, MCL 30, light, reflex
Granted Spell: Necrotic ray or sunbeam
Granted Spell: Power word stun or sunburst
Capstone: Transcend darkness/transcend light: +2 wis, +5 light/Neg SP, +3% damage resistance to phsyical + elemental

Standard caster meta line
Divine vitality (3 ranks) same as live
Spell critical line: 2%/tier in light OR neg OR 1% in all
Spell points (3 ranks) +30/rank
Wisdom - standard caster enhancements (no charisma available)
Spell penetration (3 ranks, 2AP each tier 2)

Spellpower
Tier 1 (3 ranks): +5 light OR neg OR +3 universal
Tier 2 (3 ranks): +6 fire OR +5 force OR +3 universal
Tier 3 (3 ranks): +5 light OR neg OR +3 universal, same as tier 1

Tier 3: Necrotic bolt OR searing light (necrotic bolt is different than PM version, can metamagic)
Tier 4: Holy smite OR unholy blight

Oh yes most of the doom alert is gone, but if you remember we has an invalid tree left in the first preview...
I forgot my tinfoil hat, so I'm sure they had disciple all along and didn't activate it, as they knew protection was a pile of shit and they were going to be flamed for that, so that way they make us goggle the result of the suckage called protection...

I only have two problems left with the Cleric bit :
- Points Spent in Tree is retarded, stupid, idiotic, and should not be.

- The abortion called Protection should be fragged by kinetic strike from orbit, and replaced by a real melee tree.

Bonus problem :
Oh and FvS should have their own trees, not the Cleric ones.

i was thinking about this, and really (without the aura/bursts) this just makes you a subpar pale master, or a sub-par FVS evoker with half the SP

not sure where i'll hang my hat come enhancement change time

In my opinion, Clerics have been moved from a solid F- (like 40/100 kinda F) to a grade of D or D+ with this change.  They went from unplayable to below average.

They are still in the bottom 2-3 classes in this enhancement change.

It's only practical to get +1 DC to Necro or Evo in Divine Disciple.  Getting the other +1 DC requires you to forfeit Radiant Servant, and that's the sole fucking reason to play the class.

EDIT: To the designer's credit, providing Cleric with Enervate and Necrotic Ray is an amazing option.

Yeah, that intrigued me when I logged on to Lama too.

I do wish they stopped nerfing instakills, I love the destruction and implosion graphics, and one of the most fun bits of a caster cleric for me was running around killing all the things in Vale.

Personally, I don't mind if epic elites aren't achievable in terms of DCs, but I want Epic hard to have that level of fun - not autowin, but I want stuff to land enough that it feels like I am making an impact. But I am saying that as a relatively casual player (I only have one TR2).

This is good news for me, who admittedly hasn't been on lammania.  In this case one would still be able to get +2 wis capstone???

nope, you won't be able to get the RSII capstone.

Now there's other way to get +2 Wis.
