Was there a thing with that happening soon?  Is that for Shadowfell?  Did I just have some kind of fever dream that involved new rewards for running full sets of quests?

They mentioned something about "sagas" or basically long chain rewards that spanned more than one story arc.

I may have misunderstood, but I thought the saga's were some sort of bonus for completing the long chains, what I read into it last week was a bonus for completing say....Baudry's and following it through to restless isles and completing the chain.

Or TBC and any quest associated with going there.

I really thought they meant existing content as well as future content would get this.

Exactly this basically, but with existing content as well as future.

The first one is listed in '/quest completions'

Saga: Menace of the Underdark (TRUE ELITE) : 0
Saga: Menace of the Underdark (ELITE) : 0
Saga: Menace of the Underdark (HARD) : 0
Saga: Menace of the Underdark (NORMAL) : 0

The real question is going to be if these will be new rewards or just a selection of old items.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

I thought that producer robot thing, said for "chains" that are longer is going to be something called 'saga xp'.

As far as end rewards for chains go, a long time ago they made it so you can get a static list of items you could have gotten during the chain as a final end reward also.

Well if only they ditched the Retarded Streak and went back to the old system.
It was more rewarding, and it actually created a challenge for those heavy TRing people.

My guess is, old quests will be scaled, higher than level 25.  They don't have enough content for new quests for 25-28.

That is just a guess.

Im sure they will make something available in the DDO Store which will make the run from 25 to 28 much smoother...

That's not much of a bet. Now if you said you'd bet the life of your rabbits, I'd know you were serious.

I just wanted to have an excuse. You could bet the life of green_00_00 and we have a win-win situation.

Same here, more or less.  The sun is shining outside, which - while a good thing - just makes me all the more conscious of the big pile of boring and stupid I'm having to wade through today, almost all of it as a direct result of people who not only can't do their jobs properly, but don't understand what it is they're supposed to be doing in the first place.

At times like these, the weekend seems like a remote and dreamlike prospect... and it only finished about 12 hours ago  :/

Hey, are you working in my department?  Cheesy

We send always partially (some cells) protected excel sheets that the providers have to fill out and send back.
The guy cracked the protection, changed and erased a lot of things, and took his vacation.
The funny thing is, we first though we had make a mistake, and needed 20 minutes to realize that the provider had cracked it.

We also ask the providers to tell us what products do they want to sell. We have to register provider +  product for our client, that wants to control everything.

So, provider X has Broccoli, Icebergsalad, Watermelons and Galiamelons. They forget to tell us about the Galiamelons. You know, you have 4 fucking products and you forget one. Totally normal. Now they cannot deliver this product til next year, and there will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth.

After you've TR'd half a dozen times, the only challenge while leveling is how fast you can do it.

You are of course correct, but I don't find that element  enjoyable.  Having to plot my course to the n'th keystroke through a quest in order to shave a few seconds off my time can be slightly amusing when I'm in the right mood, but mostly I find it a tense and unrewarding experience.
