Hey there.  Wondering if anyone knows how people are pulling off the fast recall in the new update.

I have seen it twice and both toons were Monks so it might be class specific I am not sure.   All I know is I don't wanna have to sit there for a billion years waiting to get out of a quest.

Try stuff. If you've only see monks do it, then start with monk specific actions.

If you don't have a monk, then roll one up and go hit the fire caves for a couple hours until you cap.

You do know that Turbine people post here from time to time, right?  This particular dog has been sleeping for a long, long time and there's no need to poke it with a stick.

Alt+F4 can actually do some fun stuff in DDO, thanks to all the race conditions and non-atomic operations. But that's more when zoning in rather than trying to recall.

LOL ... yeah I get that though I don't see them caring that much that is tossed around here.  But if so that is fine.

Any chance I can get a PM?  I do have a monk but he's not capped yet and I don't play him much as I am currently working up my Rogue-AA experiment.  (and it's fun but not as optimal as I hoped it would work out to be).

Without a doubt it can do some good from time to time.  I personally try to restart the client every couple to three hours. 

Does wonders for lag reduction that is for sure.

I forgot about the monk recall thing. I stopped doing it when it was broken for everyone. Now I need to start doing it again. Thanks for the reminder.

Well Turdbin could have just kept the fast recall in the game, rather than patch it out.

I don't understand what it "breaks" to keep it in.   It seems to be their strategy now.  No more recall on the run, no fast recall.  *SIGH*  Seriously how many quests can be run to the end and exited out without having to beat a boss.  what 2 or 3 maybe ...  I'd rather see then add in a mechanism to stop that rather than take away the fast finish.  Bastards.

Splashing monk also lets you fight oozes in your underwear nicely
