Anyone else missing Astral Shards? (Read 11383 times)

	I logged in after the downtime this morning to find myself down (I think) 202 astral shards. The AS count is on just about every damned game screen so it's not hard to remember what I had. Anyone else? About the only unusual things I did beforehand was a) collect some AS rewards from Monster Manual, b) be in-game when the server went down.

	I reset EDs several times last night, and I think the AS cost is roughly what I'm missing. That would though require me to somehow accidentally click the AS button instead of the plat button multiple times, so I dunno...

	seems like a reasonable explanation. really, what else are you going to do with them? AS are basically a worthless monetary system that was put into place to fleece dollars from the pockets of the weak minded.

	Er, AS are not worthless, not by any remotely sane definition. They're worth ~6 TP ea, or ~8K pp ea on Sarlona. That's 1200TP / 1.6m pp that went poof.

If astral shards are worthless, can I have yours? I don't know about your server, but if you want to buy/sell EE items on Orien it's done through the Astral Shard Auction House.� The regular auction house is a ghost town.� Love it or hate it, astral shards have an integral place in completing transactions within DDO. Anyone playing for any length of time has more plat than they know what to do with.� The only plat sink I have across four multi-TR/end-game toons is replenishing Yugoloth potions.� I make more plat than I can spend, even after buying frivolous things like 4 lightning-split soar wood for 1mil because I'm too lazy to farm them.

	I haven't spent a single cent on AS FWIW. All my AS came from Otto's boxes or putting crap EE items on the ASAH. On further thought my theory of clicking the wrong ED reset button doesn't really hold up; the plat cost went up accordingly, which I'm not sure it does if you spend AS, and the AS cost seems to actually be 32 a click, which doesn't divide cleanly into what I'm missing.
