So, I just capped this destiny out on my monk.

Pretty kewl for dps.

But, how do you keep it going? I've had it up for maybe 25 seconds tops. Is this normal?

Anyone have any tips for keeping up with the spirit decay?

This post sounds weird. But, ideas are welcome.

Radiant Servant aura is the best.  It generates charges consistently.

Favored Soul Archon is the next best option, but it requires to be in range of mobs.  Not a huge drawback, but something to be mindful of.

I've played the FvS version and build up initial spirit charges using an Eternal Wand of Cure Minor Wounds.

Charging it up is not the problem. KEEPING THE FORM GOING ONCE YOU START is all I've been talking about.

You can have 30 spirit and go tree. You'll have about 10-20 seconds of form. Then done. It's kinda like a melee furyshot except not quite as good.

It wasn't fixed because one of the handicap mods who deleted it perma deleted it, instead of moving it to deleted area for exploits area.

Still, there's a limit supposedly to how many spirit you get in melee. It's like 1 per 3 seconds or so.

So, theoretically, this is perfect-case scenario meleeing:


Sec 1-3: 30 spirit -1 (form, +1 melee)
Sec 4-6: 30 spirit -2 form +1 melee
Sec 7-9: 29 spirit -3 form +1 melee
Sec 10-12: 27 Spirit -4 form +1 melee
Sec 13-15: 24 spirit -1 general decay
Sec 16-18: 20
Sec 19-21: 17
Sec 22-24: 14
25-27: 11
28-30: 8 - 1 general decay
31-33: 4
34-36: 1


Ok.. obviously I AM doing something wrong. I've never had 36 seconds. So, either I'm miscalculating, this isn't the actual decay rate, or I am spending more spirit than I thought somehow (toggled ability?)

I'll do some more testing.


I'd dig more advice on twitching. But, for spirit purposes, you should only have to hit ONCE every 3 seconds to get your melee spirit credit.

I can see having a persistent spell going though would extend this a lot. I will DEFINITELY be thinking about that.

In general, the Epic Moments aren't designed to last forever.  Most have a hard ending between 20 seconds and 2 minutes.  The Master's Blitz is the only theoretically infinitely sustainable one, and even then, only if there is enough trash to kill.

The Primal one does have some variation to it, unlike most of them.  I've heard of some exploits that might extend it longer than intended.  I've never tried them or use them, though.

Nah...the limit is actually 1 or 2 spirits per every 3 seconds. Calculate max possible duration based on that.

That depends really. Ice storm from a scroll lasts 30 seconds and based on my observation it has to be hitting mobs in order for spirits to recharge. More mobs higher/faster chance of recharging. Having said that, at only 32 UMD it is great for non-caster melees.
