I've been out of the loop for a while and it's entirely possible that I still won't play after I get this answer, but I'm still curious.

Will pin lock down Orange/Red/Purples?

If not, then I'm not particularly interested for most cases since trash is still trash.

My Rogue got a massive boost. +7 to Assassinte DC iirc.

My Bard, I TRed her into a barcher. Looks like she'll be a really effective character.

My sorc also got some nice bonuses, too.

Pretty much the only class that got shafted is Paladins.

findings so far

wc bard/rogue dps down, rogue skills down, number of songs up

helf esos swinging fvs/pally - this is so bad, I haven't even bothered to reset the enhancements. will tr soon because I cannot see a way to salvage this toon.

sorc - down slightly in overall damage, energy burst got hit the worst, and Icy prison no longer works as everything saves on the reflex save.

cleric - better all around.

tbh the old enhancement tree was easier for me to follow than the new flashy one. I could at least figure out what the requirements were for everything I wanted rather easily, now not so much. One bit here in tree one another bit in tree three etc with not all pre-reqs listed... Its not a very intuitive system.

Maybe it will get better with time, but so far I am underwhelmed.

It does suck that you can't have both anymore, but go get sun bolt from the DD tree and witness the awesome.....on a fresh sun elf thing i rolled up i was hitting normal (no metas) for about 250 and critting for about 550.....with metas i only tested one shot but got a crit of 950. On a fresh first life not regeared by me at all level 15 sun cleric.

for the cleric, im still testing things out - its a work in progress. tbh, the toon is a first lifer guild run healer, so it was pretty lame to begin with. So far, after a few resets, things are better for her.

I spent 37 pts in the radiant servant tree and 23 in the divine disciple tree so far.

Need a few more resets to really work everything out.

Next I a looking at less in the healing tree - eliminating the tier 5 radiant servant aura and spending more in the DD tree.

One thing I do not like about the DD tree so far is you can only get the new spells in that tree. If there are new cleric spells, then they should be available in the spell book regardless of how you build.

There are no real domains in DDO and the enhancement tree is trying to act like a quasi-domain. I intensely dislike this aspect of the trees.
