One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

It is fairly natural to assume that the fair price for the pot is the fair value of the resources I needed to make the pot plus the fair value of my labor.

That's actually kinda awesome.
Is it wrong that I'm rooting for  Freeturbiaad?

It's all fun and games until some 14 yo kid gets scammed.  I'd just hate to see some kid/idiot/art school student get ripped off.  That doesn't stick it to Turbine...

Someone linking to a downloadable EXE file has been saying the same thing on the DDO Facebook page.

Turbine actually refuses to do anything when people are ripped off. In my opinion an unwillingness by Turbine to discipline scammers actually encourage this kind of thing. As long as DDO Mods have a we don't really care attitude things like this will only continue to happen. I'm really amazed there is not more scamming going on.

This kind of attitude encourages it:

I would consider scamming disruptive but hey what the hell do I know. From the DDO ToS:

My own theory is that Turbine does not have enough mods to actually investigate scams and chooses not to expend the resources and money to do so. So yea, if your an asshat scam away they care not.

The "art student" thing has been running here for a while...  But Xeno choned.  No hate, just picking...  So serious...  I'm more of a per-Rollins Black Flag fan, moving into DKs etc.  on the metal side, I fondly remember Motörhead opening for Slayer in about '89...  Music crashed a bit after that.

Yeah, I'm pretty misunderstood here...partially by design, of course...
