Looks like the real questions now are: Are they now testing and or repairing that router?  How long before they decide to replace it, and do they have any on hand, or even available on a holiday....

I hope it's a good sign...I have today and tomorrow off.  So far, today's been a bust, but was really hoping to get some raids in at least by tomorrow.

*fingers crossed*

If it's what I think it is that went belly up ( The big router/switch/loadbalancer in the middle of Turbine's Notwork Infrastructure say Redback SE1200H/SSR8000 or Cicco 7000/ONS15K, ALU whatever ( I don't have the number in the head ) or Juniper T or M series  )....

It's going to take them time to recover fully, usually you don't have a complete replacement at hand and rely on your support contract to get the replacement hardware.

From the look of things they are rebuilding the network using smaller equipments that they scrounged around to provide the basic services again...

I wouldn't be surprised if they tells us that the Store is down for a few days once they have the game servers back up.

Edit for the idoit that posted about Pando.

Pando is a peer to peer solution provider... you can play ( and most of us have been for years ) without having pando installed.
Pando only use was for the initial download of the game. If you saved the files it downloaded you
can reinstall the game at will without it. ( you will still have a lot of updates when you start the game the first time )

Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Well, I can get the launcher to go now, just can't login.

"Failed to read authentication response [err: unexpected end of file][line:1][col:1]"

I guess that means the authentication servers aren't active?

They have to be active for us to connect to the Official forums.

I could go and open wireshark and see what is transmitted between Turbine Notwork and a client at the moment, but I'm lazy and it's dinner time.
