I try to enter the forums on Firefox and Chrome and both sites give me the security alert of Error SSL;  anyone get this error also?

Nope, got right in. Guess you just got the PermaBan...  Try from a computer you have used before and see if you can bypass. That will confirm it.

There will be an option somewhere in Firefox where you can allow the exception. If you aren't getting that, then you probably have it set to automatically reject it.

been there since the Forum downgrade.

You have to add them to the exemption list.
