Don't count on it. I would be willing to bet, however, that there will be a DDO 2 at some point. I don't think DDO will live forever, but the D&D IP and brand equity is too strong. Whether any new iteration will be more D&D like or more MMO like would be a big issue, though. Being true to D&D rules and game play will get you a smaller fan base that is dedicated and nearly impossible to get rid of. Being MMO like will get you a larger fan base, but one that is more likely to leave when the next new shiny comes along.
