TOS-Gate (Terms of Service Violation)
Oct 14th, 2013 at 9:41pm
Print Post
Per the "DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ONLINEŽ UNITED STATES TERMS OF SERVICE" Section 18 Dispute Resolution and Governing Law, Paragraph 1 Binding Arbitration, I have requested binding arbitration (at Turbine's expense) to resolve a dispute.

My requests have been ignored. I would thoroughly enjoy naming the Turbine employee responsible, but clearly that would violate the code of conduct. So currently it appears that while Turbine may hold the customers to it's arbitrary codes and terms, it does not itself abide by them.

What gives Turbine?

Lubed chimed in to display his lack of knowledge again...  Maybe his WC attorney is helping...

Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Grace has chimed in with her Internet-aided theories of jurisdiction.

She really shouldn't be trying to give legal advice. She's not an attorney and there are some nuances in jurisdiction (especially for federal courts which, I believe, may play a huge role) that unless you've actually been trained to recognize and take account of, could totally lead the OP of that thread down the wrong path.

Additionally, if she's going to step into the thread like she has, she should cite her sources. Good attorneys (and people pretending to be so) always do.

Good attorneys don't post on forums.  Wannabe lawyers can STFU.  They do more harm than good.

I think you mean "shouldn't post on forums."

You would be mostly correct if only to prevent them from being exposed to a malpractice action.

As for doing more harm than good, I agree with you and I believe I said that.  Tongue

Grace's boobies was solid.  The rest of the jurisdiction stuff was a bad idea to get involved with.

The original poster is a troll, or an idiot, or both.

Well, posting seriously is different from having fun, trolling, etc... A little bit of legal knowledge is a dangerous thing...

Sounds like you should request, nay demand, some binding arbitration.
