It seems that the ranged Monkcher fury shot builds are really powerful especially after U19.

I have a 1st life Ranger that I'm looking to TR. He has Pinion and some decent end game gear but I wouldn't call his gear great by any means being that he is not my main toon.

I would like to Tr him into a fury shotter and from what I've seen it looks like 6 monk 6 ranger are the standard. So, I am left to decide wht to do with the other 8 levels. Logic seems to say go fighter and take advantage of the kensai tree along with the AA tree. But I am thinking of doing something a little different. Would I be wrong to think that 8 levels of cleric or FVS and accessing AA through the helf racial tree and using the warpriest tree like a fighter would use the kensai tree and get the favored/religious weapons enhancements?

I am sure the DPS would be less than what 8 levels of fighter would be but I think sacrificing a little DPS for more survivability might be a good option.

I am still new to creating custom type builds and havign read about everything I could find about monkcher has left my head spinning seeing that there are so many different variations/opinions on the build.

I am still thinking that strength over dex for damage because there are more ways to buff your strength than there are dex. I am looking to have both MS and 10k Stars and be mainly ranged. So I know I'm going to need a good amount of Wisdom to make 10k worth it.

Being that i am new, I am struggling with trying to figure out what the optimal level progression would be to maximize feats and skills.

I respect the knowledge of you guys here and am hoping you might help me to hash out this build. The toon has limited tomes...none higher than +3 but I can and will buy higher tomes. Again, this toon is a 1st life toon and this will be his first TR so he cannot have a 36pt build.

We could tell you a lot, but as a beginner, you'll learn for yourself alot faster trying things for yourself.

Downloading Lammania helps alot too, you can level yourself up to 28 and acquire decent enough gear to try builds out before commiting to them on live.

I am actually considering TRing zerjmoar to a purely ranged furyshotter. Thinking 12fvs/6monk/2pal elf.
