They changed their stance in part based on a thread I took a beating on.

While I was getting trolled or whatever, it was made clear to me that calling customer service was indeed an option to solve the problem I presented. 

So my friends/guildies were able to trade back their Bigby's for Ottos.  Fuck I don't even use them really as I can't afford them.  But I know and know of a lot who do...

Uh-huh.  I can imagine exactly why they'd exchange them; the new ones probably aren't as... environmentally-friendly as the old ones.  Anyone checked?


EDIT: Assuming the new stones are recyclable, is there any real advantage to having the new boxes over the old, apart from their trading status and the included reincarnation timer?  Old stones will give 2,140,000 xp before boosts while new ones give a flat 2,000,000.  I know you can use the new ones at any time...

I'm sure you're right, but... now I come to look at the XP tables on the wiki, it *looks* like level 8 is actually the same on a 3rd life: 450,000.  The old and new tables aren't laid out the same way though, and I guess I could be misinterpreting.  Or the new one could be wrong.

With iconic TR, you're getting two past lives (one heroic class past life and one iconic race past life).  Also, as you know epic XP goes much faster than heroic, so that 5 million epic XP is maybe 1 million-ish? in terms of heroic XP grind.  Also, there's an epic otto box to reduce that number by another 2 million if you want to go that route.

I guess...  Still and all, 5 million epic XP is non-trivial (even compared to 450k heroic) and the entire case for normal heroic TR being "worthless" to someone going completionist seems to rest on the notion of being willing to pay TP for at least every other epic heart.  'Cos otherwise it doesn't matter how much XP you need, you've still got to run the quests for the VComms.
