Nice fucking Job Turbine now all character's that were lvl 1 and Just started are now gonna ottos to end game and aid me in EE quests without knowin shit about how to play. that and the raiders box for all characters will give Newbies a false sense of confidence.

I fear Bathory Hordes 3 will be made.

This will be your fault for pugging out EE runs to players at cap who have no idea how to play. Smiley

Do you have another way of scaling up the dungeon?

There's already a Bathory Hordes 3. There's even a Bathory Hordes Elite Division. The people in it are about as "elite" as you'd expect.

I'm just waiting until you can buy a set of named gear appropriate for your class at level 20. It's bound to happen when people buy the otto's box, level up, and then realize they can't kill anything and bitch about it on the forums

What do you know about Pugging EE's Durk? I am nearly sure I have been in nearly every EE you have done, usually trying to keep you alive, even when you were designated healer.

I agree.  I would have rather they gave out +4 tomes or even +5 tomes in the raiders boxes.  The 5 comms was fine.  Hell, hand out a free epic heart of wood or heroic heart of wood.  None of that is more cheesy than handing out raid loot.

Handing out raid loot was a dumb ass idea.

The experience stone gives you a named item for every slot that is decently appropriate for a level 16ish toon.  It's not OP,  but it doesn't suck totally.  You will be weaker than someone who actually ran the quests and got loot for 16 levels, but not as bad off as having nothing at all.

i dont think any of this ruins the game.

To be honest, I've never been able to consistently pug out EE's and succeed until very recenetly in the hostory of DDO. Pseudo-pug where I put an LFM and only accept people I know and are very capable sure. But I mean like actual rando's now have about a 50/50 shot of actually helping to complete EE on Khyber.

Ok maybe 30/70. But it used to be NONE.

Meh I know a guy who always plays a dwarf and no matter what class hes playing he dies 8+ times every quest, not only does he often pike he often makes things harder, zerg off get a lot of aggro up the dugeon alert, die, get raised rinse repeat and hes closing in on triple completionist..............all folks need is a lot of spare time and stamina. No skill required.

Imho the shortcuts in themselves dont really make it worse per-say sure it kind of makes this type of behaviour more easy. But what it does is influence design ...........they are no longer concerned with making new things to make the journey more interesting and fun, they are concerned with designing *new* shortcuts and ways to bypass content instead of ..........concentrating on the quality of said content...........

I don't see how that's different from usual PuG quality.

Pugs don't seem to be affecting me at all.....Yet

If you can solo everything up to a Boss its good to have other players helping you take down the red names,Let's face it It's easy to do,But a Pain in the ass due to them having 100k+ hp.

I had a couple TRs in Threnal the other night. Wish I could remember their names. I went through about 40 raise scrolls just for my amusement. Warned off two people that hit the LFM that this was a trainwreck enjoyment run. So what NaturalHazard said above. Just takes time and persistence.

I started looking for and hosting trainwrecks as I started the divorce proceedings with turbine. It was very enjoyable since I was not sleepwalking through the farce that ddo has become.

Ah but you go thru things like this only once. next time u wont accept random ppl anymore, only those that u know. like we decided to not pug ee what goes up anymore, only fill it with friends or solo it simply because pugs just increase the scaling but dun contribute enough to have them.

If more ppl play, we can fill raids like shroud, vod, etc a lot easier. in general, more ppl = more possibilities. i dun think its a bad thing but then again im known for filling my raids with lots of pugs and then yell at them via voice chat. :p

Pugs don't affect me at all usually. They are just in the background. I try to keep them alive when I can. But the game isn't hard so it takes a pretty bad group of puggers to cause a fail, even on EE.
