Of course there's a DPS loss with ESE but you sacrifice DPS for survivability. The vamprisim and bodyfeeder can be nice especially with the speeded up attacks that stick users can get over non-stick users. The souleating property would probably proc more often, or rather, would succeed more often if the DC were higher than the GS version of souleating.
