I do believe, after much trial and error, I have found out how to make this 100% successful. It's about window focus. I'm now running DDO Full Screen mode, and when I am reconnecting, I am alt tabbed out (ddo minimized, doesn't have focus). I leave DDO minized and alt tabbed out like this for a few seconds while my internet (wifi) is reconnecting. Only after a few seconds after reconnected do I alt tab back into DDO.  Doing this, I have NEVER lost another stone.
