Yes it is...

I didn't kill all the sound, just the ambiant ones, I still have Voice chat, music and the voice overs on.

I remember reading that thread, my guess is they changed ambient sound for "bats" as a base model instead of "book thinga-a-majigs" as a fork off the base.

Rookie mistake really.

I'd like to see those books actually. I'm not familiar with DnD lore but in some other sprite based game I used to play they had these books

I like playing with sound, but the bat sounds are really annoying.  I don't mind the other sounds, but the mixer is fubar'd big time.  They really need to fix it.
