Hamster wheel as in it feels like Turbine is running on hamster wheel? Or as in the gaming experience feels like a hamster wheel - mundane, squeaky cycle with no end?

it's been a hamster wheel for just about 3 years now.   what the fuck do you mean "turned into" it IS and has been.

I actually had to just about slap myself because I was considering subbing for WoW because it fucking hate the repetitive grind and THAT is fucking crazy.

Just step out of the wheel. Play only for fun and not for grind or for being uber. Chat more with friends. Even stop playing for a while and come back again when you miss it. Don't spend money on Turbine. You will feel much better.  Cool

I agree. My latest break was my leave on U13 (pre-MoTU) and then I came back for U17 (Return to Gianthold). The game was suddenly fun again and felt new. I regained that feeling of being a newbie by running around U14-16 content and it was wonderful while it lasted. But now I'm due for another break.

U14-17 kept me entertained February - September. But U18 -19 didn't last at all, it was disappointing as me and my friends destroyed that content casually in 2 days, all on Epic Elites.

It's funny, I just upgraded to SSD yesterday and now I can finally log into DDO without crashing and yet I've temporarily and completely lost interest in DDO. Before upgrading, I would crash 20 times in a row just to switch characters and no, the pre-loader did not resolved my issue prior to upgrading to SSD.

Think I'll spend the next couple months on that Elder Scrolls Anthology I just bought and a few other co-op games with friends.  Grin

Some friends took a break and started playing Star Wars: The Old Republic. They also asked me to join but I don't have enough time to play too much so I did not join them.

LOL, good one. Yeah, Legatus, you're about to experience more up time than DDO, but it's totally worth it. Congratulations Smiley

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.
