Turbine Account Registration down?

Just tried making a new sock puppet after my last one got banned and found that I was getting an error.

Anyone else tried lately?

CGI Federal has recently taken over management of the Turbine forums.

Well if it's not just me, then perhaps Turbine might want to sort it out before losing another crop of players. On the one hand we have letters from the producer, talking up the game. What good is that when any potential new players won't make it past the registration screen?

I wouldn't go drawing any conclusions yet. With Turbine there are too many possible technical reasons for errors. I was able to make new accounts up until a few weeks ago, something has changed.

Time to switch terminals..

Does the tour involve me disappearing forever at the end of the night?

Busted. They got your IP address and they are sending Feather of the Sun to your house to molest you.

Sending Feather to "molest" isn't scary at all.

He'd probably screw it up by showing up with punch and an assortment of pie instead of a map gas torch and a bowling pin, and assert that the random assortment of pie was not only desirable but necessary.

When the molesting didn't work out, it would not be his fault because he was told to do it that way.

He'd also insist on designing a complicated (but not interesting) method of transporting the wrong things because he couldn't figure out how to work the brown paper bag that everyone else has been using for years.

they will probably congratulate themselves on how long they "kept it going" never able to see that it could have easily managed to keep itself going for far longer if they had just meddled far less drastically and with some semblance of an actual gameplan.
