It's why I prefer my melee druid as a 9druid/9monk/2.

2 [w] monk levels
1.5[w] dance of flowers
1.5[w] EE thunder and lightning
.5[w] monk past life
.5[w] Improved power attack
.5 reinforced fists
____________
6.5[1d10] 17-18*2, 19-20*4

Adamantine knuckles are nice with the 3.5w too, but I prefer looking at all the procs from thunder and lightning.

Shouldn't take you long to notice you can get 3 hits per swing.

Forgive me for belabouring the point, but is that truly TWF or just doublestriking?  Or as a wolf do they magically merge into something else entirely?  If I have TWF, ITWF, GTWF, PTWF, and NatFite x3....am I going to be hitting like 5 times an animation or more not including doublestrike procs?

How are you not getting this? You have a chance (modified by the TWF feats) to get an offhand attack, you have a seperate chance for doublestrike on your main hand, and again another (tiny) chance to get doublestrike on your offhand. Hence, you will sometimes see three attacks for a single swing at the dummy (once in a blue moon a fourth). Now go lick a window like a good moron and shut the fuck up.

fixed already, was fun though.

(Post taken from a similar topic earlier: http://www.ddovault.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1378043480/25)

There's one reason I'm not getting it totallynotanyoneyouknow.

The poster saying it's working is the same poster saying it isn't working.

As a sidenote, this topic went to 26 posts discussing a build philosophy until the insults/trolling began.  Gotta be a Vault record of some kind.  In kind, I'll reply to your insult with the rather immature way of insulting you right back... you answered a question nobody asked.  But good try though, I appreciate your efforts.

Ok, whatever. I answered your direct question:

in a genuine bid to educate the ineducable, my bad; as you're just here to troll by bringing up quotes from several months ago, so be my guest. I don't believe I would be thanked for derailing this thread further.

I'm not a troll.  I don't even have 10 posts yet last I looked, and I have yet to curse or namecall anyone.

The old post is directly relevant both on topic, and more specifically to Munk's saying that TWF in animal form is both working and not working.

Either Turbine's effed up their fix again (unsurprising), or the conventional wisdom that the glitch is still live is incorrect.

At that point in time I'd taken someone elses word on it without testing myself.

keep up your search fu, you'll find I stated as much a while ago too.

Like I just said, go hit the dummy, as soon as you see the third attack from one hit you can easily confirm for yourself.

before this bug existed there was never a third strike, ever.

That's not how double strike works.  the greater your % the better your chance at a single double strike

having 3 sources of 6% double strike doesn't give you 3 * 6% chances at a double strike, it gives you an 18% chance at an extra strike.

I'm not sure what'll happen once we get over 100% double strike, tbh I'm looking forward to seeing.

In summary:
if no TWF
strike + double strike = 2 procs max.

with twf
strike + double strike + off hand proc. (in animal form its a third strike due to weirdness with animal form weaponry)

I could likely hit over 100% if I did some tweaking on my rogue.

I didn't notice a difference when I got his offhand proc over 100%, sadly Sad

I thought there was also a miniscule chance for an offhand doublestrike proc? PTWF and the tempest capstone grant it but it's only a percentage chance whenever you proc a mainhand double strike. Hence why I mentioned the blue moon scenario. This toon should benefit from it to the tune of something like a 5% DPS increase, which is not nuffing.

I love seeing a stream of numbers that won't go away on a melee wolf druid. It's magical.

Once you get those abilities look forward to seeing a 4th attack per strike.

As far as I know though, there's no way for a heroic druid to get off hand doublestrike procs, so 3 should be the limit.

If I ever leveled my 9/9/2 past 25 I would definately pick up perfect TWF though.

Just curious if I missed anything:

18% Natural Fighting
3% Artifact Black Dragon Helm
9% Skirmisher's Bracers OR centered w\ First Blood 13%
6% Hail Of Blows +Running with the Wind GMOF twist
10% Grandmaster Wind Stance
5% PTWF
20% Killer running at full (implies 10\9\1)

51\55 Doublestrike without\with first blood

71% Doublestrike with Killer.

101% if you turn the jets on (But which would be better at that point, haste boost or doublestrike boost?)

Is that pretty much max doublestrike?

Bard song could be six more. Not going to add in shadowdancer profane DS because I'd hope you're not using that destiny on this kind of build. If you went 10 rogue you could also get opportunist. Also, going grandmaster of forms hurts because that split is already short on feats.

On a side note,  going 9\9\2 ranger and picking up Killer that way could be fun because archer's focus   Wink

Thanks Munk that clarifies things, and that extra 8[W] or 9[W] is yummy.

What about the extra dice? if my monk has 8[1d6] damage, how would that translate to wolf?
