They might just make a new system.

No item drops at all. Only plat and gems.

Every item will be for sale in the DDOstore for TP.

I liked the Normal/Hard/Elite loot.  It rewarded running quests on Elite and I think that's a Good Thing(tm).

I felt like it was almost there, but the items were all too generalistic.

cutting some of the fat and replacing it with best in slot stats would be better.

Also, I REALLY hate when people refer to it as "treasure". I don't know why. Call it loot. Treasure is something amazing. All we've had recently is loot.

I think he clarified that it's exceptional.

Still useless, but in a different way. Or for people who don't have globes.

There are people who don't have globes?
I wonder how many of those were made. Still tons on the ASAH for cheap even now.

2.6 billion were likely initially made. I'd say they took about 1 billion out of circulation.

Other stuff:
Now that I'm gone, the difficulty-based loot has been discontinued. No more different items on Epic Normal/Hard/Elite. I was told it over-rewarded Elite play. Can't say I agree.

Wow, that is fucking retarded. Who's idea was this? As if noobs decking themselves out in EE gear from the ASAH wasn't lame enough. Let's just dumb down the game even more.

Maybe the new loot looks like garbage because it's going to be stupid easy to get, and there's just going to be the one version dropping on all difficulties. Coooooool.

Or, it sucks and will have horrid drop rates. Easy to get the chest, just not the loot that you might not really want anyway.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

In case some of you start losing your perspective on Plume through the haze of time, I wanted to bring this in from the VaultLeaks forum:

Strakeln wrote on Jan 20th, 2014 at 9:26pm:
Be glad we aren’t a bunch of mindless asskissing yes-men, by the way - Feather wanted to change ALL the old named loot when he did his slot thing.  I know there was way more than just this one item that we disagreed with, but the biggest offender I can immediately recall is the Planar Gird.  He wanted to change it from the unbound clickie it is now, to the current BtCoE binding model with a green slot and the Greater Heroism as a perma-effect as long as you have the belt equipped (although in all likelihood, in hindsight, the cynic in me says it would be the broken version that doesn’t counter fear). He wanted to change the torq, too.  Make it so that instead of granting SP back the way it does now, it granted temp SP instead.  And not even all that much.
