Sorry for being so stupid, but what do you mean with "toggle the ability you want"?
Something like "acid arrows"? "terror arrows"? and so on?
I have no archane archer, but maybe i will do one quickly for the yes, yes.. I will write it: for teh LULZ

That was what I was originally intending, but I don't know who has access and could distribute this secretly, so that it doesn't get nerfed till I have all of my ranger lives done at the very least. But, no one was commenting about whom to message, so I gave up and just threw it out for common knowledge. Everyone can share and enjoy now, while it lasts.

Yeah. It's pretty simple. Terror arrows, acid arrows, morphic arrows, banishing arrows, smiting arrows, shock arrows, fire arrows, cold arrows, paralyzing arrows... are toggle abilities. NORMALLY, you need a bow equipped and when you toggle one, it turns the other off (was turbines intent). However, by toggling on with a melee weapon equiped, it doesn't flag or whatnot, and then by switching to a bow, it adds the effect to any others still active. Just turn on an ability, with a melee weapon on, swap to bow, swap back to melee, toggle another ability, swap to bow... rinse, repeat. Now that I gained a few more ranger levels on my test character, I can verify that all of the toggle abilities I have tested so far work and stack with one another. I don't have the bottom line yet (aligned/metal/etc) but I would assume they work the same way.

I definitely plan to have some fun with this while it lasts Cheesy

And hopefully others will enjoy it, get some lvls out of it easier, and in return, if someone knows things that I don't, pass it on. Sharing is caring, as they say Cheesy

Thanks for the heads up Cheesy Sad, that would be pretty nice for DR breaking Cheesy My test ranger wasn't high enough to test those yet.

Yes, I'm guessing you have the AA capstone. I'm also guessing they introduced this bug to fix the AA capstone that was broken.  Grin

Does the doubleshot even stack with everything else?  I haven't touched my ranger since MotU, so I have no idea if the capstone even works or if it's broken like the old Ranger capstone.

Does this still work? I loaded up my lvl 20 AA ranger and reset the enhancements so I didn't have Master of Imbuement.

1. I equip a melee weapon and click Flaming Arrows.
2. I equip my bow.
3. I re-equip my melee weapon and click Frost Arrows.
4. Flaming Arrows toggles off.

Am I missing something or has it been patched?

Duuuuh, nvm.  The toggle on the bar toggles off, but it stays on in the effect icons.

Carry on, nothing to see here...

To get every AA ability on at same time (i.e. fire arrows, acid arrows, force arrows, shock arrows...), follow these steps:


1) Equip a melee weapon.
2) Toggle on the ability you want.
3) Equip a bow. It will now have the ability toggled on.
4) Repeat steps 1-3 for all abilities you want.
