Returning from 4 month hiatus need some help plz

So exams are done and I am returning from a 4 month+ hiatus/break from DDO.
I am terribly out of touch with things for the most part & am requesting help on 6 builds/toons(1 at a time per thread though).
Especially with the new enhancements & some other changes etc. So any constructive help/feedback is most welcome.
I will generally just be using the free LR/LR+0 and respeccing enhancements on these builds.

Most of these builds currently are *not* for EE & not for soloing, *however* I *still* would like to be NOT gimp and min/maxed as much as possible.

Possibly down to the road I will attempt EE but I am totally not in that league at the present time.

I just group with my guildies & channel mates/peeps on Orien at the moment.

GOALS/DESIGN/INTENT OF THE BUILD: As stated above to run with guildies/channel mates & my peeps, if I am forced to
PUG, I want to be able to contribute of course(I will never join any EE Lfm of course).
Ditto for any non-EE Raids I join, I don't want to be gimp.

Content I will be running: Old eberron epics, Epic GH(EH, not EE), MOTU(EH, not EE), CR25 House C challenges for gear/epic tokens, some estar challenges possibly, and of course Epic Raids(not EE).


1st build a 1st life 32 pt helf 12 Monk/8 Fighter build using wraps!(that is 1 thing I am not changing on, this build uses wraps) NOT A LEVELING BUILD JUST USING THE FREE LR/LR+0:

Should I keep the stats the same or? Skills I think I should drop Intimidate.
I am thinking of going Wisdom based/level ups this time, so I can pick up Vorpal Fists, is that a good idea?

Ok Feat wise:

Level 2    Weapon Focus: Bludgeon is that required/necessary for anything? or can I swap that out?
Level 6    Quick Draw Probably can swap that out.
Level 14  Weapon Specialization: Bludgeon is that required/necessary for anything? or can I swap that out?
Level 15  Skill focus: Intimidate Definitely swapping this out. Ideas?
Level 19  Greater Weapon Focus: Bludgeon is that required/necessary for anything? or can I swap that out?

Enhancement wise I have no idea at all since I have been gone 4+ months, so any help in that regard would be awesome!

Wow I need more AP to spend in Shintao & *some* in Henshin! Ideas??? Thanks!

Going 12 fighter/8 monk will give you the prereqs for the top tier of kensai, which lets you use your focus weapon as a ki weapon.
If you're set on using wraps though, Vorpal Strikes and the epic Martial Arts feat (don't remember the name off the top of my head) are both awesome.

Yes, I want 2 use wraps for sure. Improved Martial Arts is that other feat. Good ideas, thanks!

You've spent too much ap in the helf tree to reach the second healing amp tier. arcanum? Really? cmon...

Spend 10ap in the helf tree tops:
Core 1-3, rogue dil 1&2, healing amp 1.

In Kensai You've spent 8ap on 2seeker, that's a pretty poor return on investment imo.

Spend the 18 free ap you've now got in Shintao:
pick up cores 1-3 ~15% healing amp & 30 positive spell power (rejuv cocoon)
pick up deft strikes 10% more off hand attacks
pick up iron skin, 15prr
pick up 3 ranks in conditioning 15hp

Ignore henshin.

3 more ap to pick up the 4th shintao core ability would be nice, but the only places I can see further cutbacks in, is an action boost and half elf healing amp, I'd make the trade, but it's your call.

*edit* without access to quivering palm you may not need contemplation, that'd free up 6ap. spend 3ap in shintao to pick up the 4th core ability. spend 2ap to max action boosts.  last ap is yours to do w/e with (i'd probably spend it on wis or con in shintao)

I don't see a huge advantage of 8 Monk over 6 Monk given the alternatives. 1 Die step is + 1.75 damage, but Ram's Might (2 Druid) or Divine Might (2FVS, 2 Cle or 2 Pal + Twist) should offer more DPS and a better stunning DC.

I'd prefer 12fgt/6mnk/2 whatever over 12fgt/8mnk.

But, of course, IMA fully justifies going 12 Monk. I'm not completely sold on the tier 5 abilities of kensei, (since Shintao and Ninja Spy have a lot of nice abilities). Not taking any tier 5 ability is certainly the most AP efficient one since you can cherry-pick the good stuff and don't need to take any filler.

But then again, I don't see that the 7th and 8th Fighter level add a lot to the build - the alternatives in my previous post look more interesting to me. For a *centered martial weapon* build which is pretty much a la mode, this would be more important, but I think that for a handwrap user, DCs and more damage have a higher benefit.

I'd personally go 12monk/7fighter/1druid.

There's not really any ap to spare on more enhancements, but 1druid is nice for rams and empower healing.

Ok 1st want to take some time & thank Munk for his advice/input, you are a very valuable resource to the DDO community.

Always helping everyone out with informative feedback here & on the motherforums. So it is really greatly appreciated.

Thanks to the everyone else that chimed in as well!.

Again to reiterate my skill level is not anywhere close to EE-capable but I still don't want to be gimp, even in EH content.
I Want to be able to contribute if I am forced to PUG or when joining EH epic raids. Please consider that when giving advice.

Areas of concern still:

1. Skills, I am going to switch ranks from tumble into balance, also jump as well, but which skill should I put those ranks into?
2. Feats, no Bow Strength or Imp. Precise Shot, because we aren't going STR, we are going WIS based. Is that ok?
    Also no Dodge feat.
3. I think the stat distribution is good, I Like 12 int for moar skill points!

I tried following Munk's advice to the letter, however since we incorporated a burst DPS option, I may need to tweak this a bit more still, based on AP in the Helf tree.

Any other constructive feedback/discussion is more then welcome. It is greatly appreciated! Tongue! Smiley! Cheesy!

requirements  23str, cleave, great cleave.
in your shoes my epic feats would be

21 vorpal fists
24 overwhelming critical
27 improved martial arts.

my Skill points priority : umd > concentration > heal > spot - w/e.

So don't go wisdom based? On a 1st life 32 pt toon with +2 tomes(+4 wisdom tome though),
how on earth do I pick up OC AND Vorpal fists?

If you don't mind, I would appreciate a breakdown. Thank you again for your time Munk!

P.S. Do the enhancements look good or?

Enhancements look much better imo, 3 spare points, pick up 1more sneak attack from ninja.

hmm, with those restrictions I wouldn't go wisdom based, I'd qualify for vorpal fists and stop there (esp since you're not planning on running EE's)

17str+2tome+4levels
15dex
9con
8int
16wis+4tome+3levels
8cha

The stats look thin, because they are, but I would go with that breakdown in your shoes. (warning though, you'll need to use a feat swap once you've reached level 28)

If you can get your mits on a +3 dex and str tome or better you could bump your con or int.
