Epic TR, the TR cache, and you

Do you need to empty the TR cache when epic TRing back to 20, or not? I have not been able to find a definitive answer on this. And if not, is that WAI?

Not saying a definitive answer has not been given--I've tried the wiki--just that if it's out there, I have not yet found it.

[Edit: Yeah, I could just try it, but I have my reasons for asking first.]

Treat it like a Lesser Reincarnation, not a True Reincarnation.

No need to empty tr cache when you tr, its merely an lr that you do basically. that and it takes you to level20 and wipes the sphere of karma. equiped items merely go into your inventory so have enough open slots in inventory. i  have done 7 so far pretty easy really. Good Luck with yours.

Thanks, all.

Follow-up question: my understanding is that Epic TR and Heroic TR do not share a timer. I'm at level 28. I plan to epic TR and then immediately turn around (after building back up to 20) and Heroic TR. If I'm reading it right, this should be fine, and I can get my epic past life and then head back to level 1 in one fell swoop.

Is this incorrect? If I epic TR, am I looking at a three day wait before I can go back to level 1? I don't think so, but wanted to get input from people who have done it.

Yes, you are correct. You can ETR then HTR, theres no timer. I did it a few lives ago.

Dear players,

The D&D rules you were familiar with were too simple to understand, so we're continuing our move away from them to needlessly confusing subsystems that will make your play experience less fun and invalidate old builds and loot. We hope you have fun working out what the fuck MRR, PRR, MP, SP, RP, CL, MCL and all the other bullshit we made up whilst drunk means.

Love,

People who don't know how to fix their own mistakes cleanly

Make sure you log out after finishing the epic tr and being in game. Most errors of inventory and lost tomes etc happen when people etr->heroic tr without logging out in between.

I'd wager almost all of the issues people had with etring were actually people who did both in a row without logging out in between.

This.
I also heard same problems with HTR right after ETR.
Better to logout in between as diddle advised.

I just noted this part of your post and thought should clarify.
ETR will not take you back to lvl 1.  It will take you back to lvl 20.  So if you ETR, you can either:
(1) resume the Epic grind back to 28;
(2) or you can immediately HTR and go back to lvl 1.

Hope that helps.

ETR actually does send you back to 1, but with enough experience to level to 20. Exactly the way a Lesser Reincarnation does. So you have to rebuild to 20 before you can HTR.
