Question for multiboxers: do you use the same account for the different characters or do you use different accounts?

Or just a general question of can two people log on to the same account (but different characters) at the same time lol...

Has to be diff accounts.  Logging into the same account twice boots the first login.

Always box a chest buffing bard, nobody else wants to play one... Casters/AA are the easiest to box, just send keys to all client windows. Usually people are so retarded that you still end up the first at an encounter anyway, even after running two clients up.

If i am soloing for loot i can box 4 other toons, but running sucks (and sending movement keys to all clients doesn't work very well).

I usually dual-box when levelling a TR.  Just to garner some favor on alt accoutns and level up the toons on them.  I also use them when farming for named items, but I've never done that in an PUG before.

I use to Multibox quite a bit in other games.... I feel that is why they left Auto-Follow out of this one.

It's slightly ridiculous /follow doesn't exist, perhaps that is the outer limit of their coding skills.

Get a better computer. All it really takes is 1GB RAM + 1 core per client.

I think that maybe i wasnt clear, I am referring to MY posted raids/ee's where we didnt guild/channel fill for some reason. dont sneak your fukin box account into my run then sneak in so i cant kick you and have to reform around you. its complete bullshit to sneak a box account in. be upfront if i let you in then its MY choice. so eat a fat cock if you dont like it motherfucker

should one asign the core per client manually, or is windows/turbdine clever enough to do that by itself?

Multiboxing works just fine for me without asigning any cores. But I never tried to control both at the same time, was  just for piking/looting reasons.

Windows can handle that on its own IME.

Core per client isn't really necessary if you're just multiboxing to loot and logging the other boxes out most of the time, but CPU cores are what helps the most after you've removed the RAM and disk (with SSD) bottlenecks.

AMD chips are very substandard for running multiple clients. I suggest the i7 3930k for multiboxing. It will easily handle 10 clients.

I setup the main client to run on its own core for playability.
