I haven't really played LotRO, but aren't points much easier to come by and far less valuable there?

Completely useless for me as I need everyhting but points. Have 2,000 points left over after I was tricked to buy Shadowfail. Now I earn around 500 TP a month just from the regular TR grind. I only need Bladeforged then I own virtually everything. But I'll only buy it when it's on sale. I guess the rest I have to spend on storag upgrades eventually (how exciting ...). Since I guess the times of selling packs for points are over. Now they're only selling "two packs called ExxxxxxpansionTM".

Points are worthless, unless you rely on them for buying xp pots, violet armor or cosmetic pets.

I own all the packs in DDO (premium player), mainly through favor farming.  I did buy the expansions; MoTU I would consider to be a worthwhile purchase, Shadowfall...let's not discuss. 

It's gotten to the point now where it just looks like they won't release any content without charging a premium rate for it.  Rather disappointing, really.

Two of the updates will be bought with points this year, three if you count 3BC (Though I assume from your post you already own it). But yeah, Shadowfail sucks so much ass...

I did grab the triple bonus points the one time they offered it.  I thought when they did the black Friday they would bring it back... when I say double I was like they do this all the time... and bingo they did it yet again.
