Monkcher with trapping skills

im am looking at making a monkcher that can also do traps but im not sure how to make the build, any advice?

I'm not sure how many build points or tomes you have to play with, but:
By level 15 you need to have 19dex
By level 21 or 24 or 27 you need to have 23 str.
By level 10 you need 13 wisdom.

BAB issues make the feats a bit of a pain, it's not going to be the easiest leveling build, but it's the best way to go at cap. 

It may be worth considering doing this as a Shadarkai instead of a standard human. However, I'm not certain they get a bonus feat at 1 and skill point per level.
I know PDK get the bonus feat and skill points, so that's a viable option too

1: Rogue 1: (Human Bonus feat: Power Attack, Level feat: Point Blank Shot)

2: Ranger 1:

3: Monk 1: (Monk Bonus feat: Precision, Level feat : Cleave)

4: Ranger 2

5: Monk 2 (Monk Bonus feat: Deflect Arrows)

6: Ranger 3 (Level feat: Great Cleave)

7: Monk 3

8: Monk 4

9: Monk 5 (Level feat: Dodge)

10: Monk 6 (Monk Bonus feat: Zen Archery)

11: Ranger 4

12: Ranger 5 (Level feat: Ten Thousand Stars)

13: Ranger 6

14: Monk 7

15: Monk 8 (Level feat: Improved Precise Shot)

16: Monk 9

17: Monk 10

18: Monk 11 (Level feat: Improved Critical: Ranged Weapons)

19: Monk 12

20: Rogue 2

Shadar-kai do get the bonus feat, and +2 dex/-2 cha to start.  I'm fairly certain they get the extra skill point, too.

The stat adjustment would make it much easier to qualify for IPS, and you can get another wis or dex point from racial enhancements (although enhancements won't help with feat requirements.)

as for lvling i plan on going up to 7 or 8 then ottos boxing followed by and epic box so i can catch up with the people i usually play with. what can i swap cleave and great cleave for as i struggle with the monk combo stuff. i have a gaming mouse that i can map maybe 4 macros on to but thats not many combos.

cleave and great cleave are only there because they are pre requisites for Overwhelming critical.  Feel free to never use them, but you really should keep them.

Ottos boxes or not, if shadarkai get the bonus feat and skill points, It would be a better option than Human.

I'm unable to test that for you though.

i checked the wiki and and its pdk that get the bonus feat, but i still have my +20 heart i think so that could be an option.


sorry about being a pain, i have never tried a monkcher before so really have no clue on building them

I wouldn't waste a +20LR.

Try rolling up a shadarkai ingame for yourself and double check, Starkjade may well be right and the wiki just needs updating.

Shadar-kai do not get a bonus feat.

I neglected to count skill points as my three Shadarkai builds
have been off-the-hip constructions just to get past lives.

The male shadarkai does not get the good great cleave animation.

I would go arty for the lever-puller, magical training, and cheap scroll mastery.

I do see a strong argument for the thief split though.

Shaidar Kai don't get the bonus feat or skill point that humans get. 

I prefer Arti2 to Rogue2, I find the extra abilities from the Arti class useful. 
Using repeating XBows early on before your bow skills click in makes things much quicker as repeaters are overpowered in low level game.
The Arti spells are useful throughout the whole game +1 stacking to hit damage is great
The Dog is useful for pulling levers and such
The spell points and magical training is nice.
If you go WF then you have some early self healing.
