Best lost/forgotten franchise

The other favorite game thread got me thinking about my gaming history, and I was wondering what dead franchises others would like to see revived.  Personally I want to see a new Parasite Eve game come to PS4.  I put so many hours into 1 and 2...

I'd like to see Wing Commander re-launched with today's graphics.

Baldur's Gate, a new game, not a remake.

Half-Life, cause seven years and still no ep.3 or HL3.

Lands of Lore, loved Guardians of Destiny.

Vampire: The Masquerade, another game would be sweet.

Xenogears 1-2-3-4-6 as originally planned. No, it's not what Xenosaga did.

There is supposed to be an upcoming World of Darkness MMO. It's been in the pipes for years, though, so who knows if it'll ever see the light of day.  Or moon of night, or whatever is correct for the idiom.

I'd like to see more Dragon Warrior games.  Or maybe the old Sierra series; King's Quest, Heroes' Quest/Quest for Glory...

Maniac Mansion could make for a pretty neat multiplayer Wii game.

Ohhh... and Full Throttle.  One of my favs.

Now that you mention, hell yeah!
I remember the first time I saw Pool of Radiance, I was drooling and I was like "OMG! D&D on computer with sound effects and such..!"

Just wanted remember what D&D computer games have been released up to now. Here it is for other curious souls:
List of Dungeons & Dragons video games

I'd forgotten about PE.  Good game that I sunk a ton of time into as well.

Thought about this - would it be too cheap to do a prequel (i.e. starting with Ao banishing the gods and going up through the death of Bhaal?).  I could see that making money if they didn't MMO it.

Oh just thought about something I'd really like to see again :

The Steel Panther Serie.

They were great wargame simulations and were fun to play.

SUPPOSEDLY still in development.

I'd check that out. I likes vampire quite a bit. I spent some solid hours around a table playing that thing.

A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

Ah yes, System Shock - the best game that (for the most part) no one ever heard of.  I guess you could say that Deus Ex (another great one) kind of picked up where SS2 left off, at least in spirit.

I still can't believe NOLF didn't keep going for at least one more iteration - great humor in that game.  Also, what other game had snow-mobile kills?  Grin I blame the hugely unbalanced multi-player.

I may have already referred to the MMo "sequel" in a different thread, but Legacy Of Kain/Soul Reaver was always a good series, I thought.

I too would mention System Shock (2), but an argument could be made that Bioshock continued the franchise.
