Turbine's decisions are spot-on. They just found out how to alter XP, so now they are adjusting all quests accordingly. Then they are working on a new housing system, who is not excited about that? 	Epic Von 3 is currently "turned off" on Sarlona. You have to run through Heroic Von 3 to get to epic Von 4.

For example have they fixed the fact that you can't get into the epic versions unless you are level 21 (and therefore don't get as much bonus if you run them at level 25)? Even if they fixed all the broken mechanics, I've gotta say that I pretty much can't stand most of the challenges - they just aren't any fun for me.

Agreed on the ETR and Iconic TR'ing being something that could be ignored. That said, beyond those two there's not much to do other than repeat old content again for no reason. There isn't an end-game and I'd grown tired of the hamster wheel of heroic TR'ing. It might have just been my time for a break and have nothing to do with the current content but it could also be the lack of really exciting content being added as well. All I know for sure is that I was done for now.
