So here she is...Saaluta the completionist

Well, almost anyway Smiley What I'm looking for is a bit of informed help on a small problem I am having as soon as I finish my last two lives and get completionist on Saaluta.  I had a lot of fun with my Morninglord Cleric/druid....which was 6 cleric/14 druid.  If I go 5 clr/15 druid, this gives me access to level 8 spells like earthquake and heal, but doesn't give me the radiant servant bursts that made the 6/14 so much fun to use.

I realize I can always try the 5/15 and then do a +1 lr to change to 6/14 if I don't like it as much, but would rather not have to make a trade for a +1 heart if it is not necessary, so asking your opinions(which I know can be dangerous with some of you guys Cheesy )

Thanks Saal Smiley

Im struggling to understand how having bursts on a druid is worthwhile.

Saal, if you're going t0 15 Druid for Earthquake (and Heal of course), are you going to invest what is necessary for a good DC for it? If not, stay 14/6. You can always burst and use Heal scrolls.

BTW...grats on Completionist. I could never have the patience for that.

I actually built my morninglord for cold spec as well as healing, so running with aura on, I was self healing as well as able to give my party mates that healing as well...ran in water elemental form most of the time and would use the cold debuff, ice storm, gr creeping cold for massive damage against most of the things I was fighting, then when I started taking damage, I could do a couple bursts and all was good.

I was also running with the cold dragon blood from the sorc ED as my lvl 4 twist, so this helped get better numbers as well(there may be a better twist, but that one worked while I am maxing the rest of my EDs...which will be maxed by the end of my next life).

Thank you Arkat, there were times that I just wanted to say the heck with this, but I had already decided to do it, so kept going Smiley

Have you tried using the druids healing spells?  Theyre pretty good, definately good enough to make a 6 cleric splash seem pretty silly.

That said if its for flavor, arkats right, if youre not reaching a 65+ evo dc earthquake wont be worth casting in ee.

Without mantle of the icy soul (level 9) your effective dc is going to be 4 lower than a dc specced druid.

I will hit someone with a quick regen if they are going down fairly quickly, but really find that healing aura is good for most of the game and would rather use the mana to kill things quickly while keeping the party healed with aura/bursts or a quick cocoon.  The main reason I would have for going 15/5 is the access to heal spell as castable rather than using heal scrolls, although now that I have broken the 4 million plat mark on my acct, I don't worry about buying them so much Smiley

Thanks Mokune.

Just hit 26 on my PDK fighter life around 5 AM this morning, so hoping to hit 28 tonight and TR again into my last pre-completionist life of bladeforged arti.  Then about a week of that which will also cap my ED's, just finished GMOF last night, and got close to level 3 in my first divine destiny.  Should get close to completing that one before I TR, then can finish angel destiny while in bladeforged life.

Will probably use my free epic heart during my bladeforged life since I'm only about 1/2 way to getting the last iconic heart that I need.
