Is there any way to speed up the gates unlocking if you used a hire or pet on a lever? You kill the four or five spawns on your side in about ten seconds and then stand around for what feels like five minutes until the gate opens on the other side to kill the trash on the other side.

Sadly, they seem to be disinterested in killing on whatever mode I put them in.

Dualbox. Or put up an lfm.

I didn't even know the gate opened after a while, because I've already recalled before that when a side wiped. Thanks for the info!

I did have a competent person to run with, but my running buddy has long since quit DDO and I don't pug.  It's a solo game for me, and not particularly out of preference but there ya go.  If I had enough gaming time for it to matter, I might look to swap guilds to one where at least a few people were in my time zone, or where more people were on more regularly, but I think that ship has sailed

i like necro 3. great xp, quests are pretty easy.

blighted solo sucks, just because you have to keep swapping between the vials and something to break those fucking root walls with. and if you don't have good AOE, it's tough to drag everything to the fountain to kill. killing as you go is too slow. but if you have just 1 other person, it's pretty damn easy. it can take as little as 4 minutes.

tormented is easy, i don't mind spending 40 TP on a rogue to do the traps. sonic blast wand (umd is super low) or call lightning cookies to kill the stuff underneath. I can generally get it done in 15-20 minutes, depending on how quickly I can get everything out of the sarcophagi killed.

forbidden is quick, the longest wait is for the 2 gates to open. I'm pretty sure it literally takes at least 4 minutes per gate.  Still looking at under 15 minutes though, if you skip the optional.

unhallowed is also quick and straight forward, especially if you take the extra minute or so to kill all the extra stuff for optionals.

cursed crypt used to be my absolute favourite quest in the whole game. I used to speed run it on my drow sorc back in the day when the cap was 14 (or 16, I don't remember) and always try to beat my old time. I think the fastest I ever got it done, based on the timer, was 9 minutes. I just got super lucky with the key drop.

All of these quests are trivial and easy to solo (or solo with a hireling) except Forbidden.  I wouldn't do that one.  I'm not sitting around waiting for gates to drop.  Once you learn them, don't fuck shit up like blowing vials like a moron in Blighted, and aren't on a toon that is a waste of space, they're great fast XP solo and amazingly fast XP in a decent group of two.

Folks who hate the Necro are all gimps.
