In-game GM: Krymux

He's really the best, most helpful and polite in-game GM I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I know plenty of other people have had positive experiences with him. I just wanted to reiterate.

I was in thrill of the hunt on HE (junk xp in that quest btw.. 15k with 80% first time elite, 20% daily, 50% streak, 50% tome, 20% pot, 5% shrine, 5% voice, 10% aggression) and the end boss died, but I didn't get credit. Krymux took about 30 seconds to check stuff out and completed the quest for me. He even spawned both chests. Most other GMs would say "we can complete the quest but no loot" or even "this is not a known issue, please submit a bug report".

I will all the in-game folks were as helpful as Krymux.

Did it take him 30 minutes after you were in the next quest of storm horns chain to respond?  Female PDK falls through the floor when entering in break in the ice Shocked Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

No it was about 30 seconds after I put in my ticket. Then 30s after that the quest was complete.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

This is one difference between GW2 and DDO.  Someone pasted a conversation between themselves and a GM and left the names intact.  What made matters worse was that when he followed up later with another, he received even more incorrect advice that piled upon the garbage the first one spewed.

The result of the posting was that the C/S manager publicly stated in the thread that those were not the correct answers and there would be some retraining in the GM department regarding advice and the tone of that advice.

I've only ever bothered to put in a ticket and wait for a GM a couple of times over the years, but I did have one good experience with +Krymux myself.

Ayup, he is a good one.

So I missed the part where it says why you're trying to get this guy fired...?

Sadly too many folks accept shit quality when they pay for something. Times change, sometimes for worse.

Seriously, +Krymux is great.  I'd traded for a bunch of old Otto boxes and submitted a ticket last night to swap them for new ones, and he just turned up and said "Hi, click Accept on the trade window and you're done!  Anything else I can help you with?  Have a great night!"

The previous time I ran into him was when a spider spawned in the walls at the end of the second Eveningstar flagger.  Instant help, no messing around.  The fact that he does this stuff a lot because Turbine has a lot of broken stuff is immaterial; the point here is that he does what he does better, quicker and friendlier than any other GM I've encountered.

A great CS agent working for a shitty company is still a great CS agent, and deserves the props.

But you know what's more awesome than +Krymux?  Laphroaigh.  Hic.

Nope, just not terribly well-publicized.

I had +Rothgar help me out a few times (it did take to wait for 20-30 min for ticket reply though). Anyone had a different experience?  Roll Eyes

Yeah, and it's best to keep it that way.  Otherwise people won't trade me old boxes for stupidly low amounts of stuff any more, and that would be tragic.

Rothgar and Krymux are the two best GM's turbine has.

They'll both go over and above to help you out, the difference between them is that Rothgar plays the game & understands problems, krymux will let you explain them to him.

They both then help you whenever it's within their power.

I can't remember the name of the gm that started the end fight for us in the Lost thread, after it had bugged. But I was slightly shocked at how quickly he responded to my ticket and fixed the problem. ~30 s all in all. Took me longer to send in the ticket.
