I did have a small question FoS.. why are some users still (Admin)-group colored, while others arent? (When we know both users no longer work for Turbine.)

Guys, please be kind with regard to that google document that people in this thread have referred to.

Really? Seriously? On the vault?

The competent folks that were laid off will be fine. The worthless feks are worthless.

oh you finally came out of your hole now that big bad scarey Stainer is gone?

Um, yeah, sure. I have been "in hiding" because some douche bag loser with a white trash credit card is "scary".

By the way, who are you? Is that you Stainer, or are you just the guy who rents living space in Stainer's ass since your mom kicked you out of her basement? Wink

Family, Country, and the US stock market. Although, in a pinch, any convertible currency or liquid asset will do.

And?  Phones still work.  Customer service reps could work from home and easily be as unresponsive as normal.

I'm surprised, because since Majmal has taken over, there have been a lot of old bugs resurface.

There are still duping bugs in the game that I know he is aware of.

Either he's not good at his job, or despite his input, things aren't getting fixed.

What's the point in having a QA team you ignore?

Seems there's a couple around, but the main service ingame is kaput/derelict, so you have to search them out and direct connect. Will be checking out http://www.amethyst-dragon.com/nwn/index.php when I get enough free time this weekend.

QA teams are universally the butt of the IT world, usually unless there's a very good financial reason bugs that do not directly affect the profitability of a company get "prioritized" into oblivion. Quite often as a code-monkey there have been defects I've desperately wished to address that have been completely ignored as "low business priority", usually related to technical debt that both I and the testers know will cause infinite misery in the future, if not for us, then for whichever poor sod comes after who has to maintain and re-test the shit lasagna being piled onto our plates by bureaucrats.

from ChainsawGolem:

I was never really as active on the forums as some of the other devs (sharing a cube with Solar Dawning made me afraid to post, God bless him), but now I wish I had been. TRD taught me everything I know about random encounters, and if you’ve run around the Storm Horns landscape, you’ve seen my work. I can take credit for a number of dungeons since MotU, but the one I’m most proud of is Brothers of the Forge. I feel like it was a good note to end on.

And if you find yourself cursing the traps in the Tunderholme landscape, please remember I was giggling uncontrollably when I was placing them.

I choose to not feel worried. But usually when there are employment cuts, it means more work for everyone else, and how that affects quality... I guess we can only wait and see.

I find that FoS posting a lot here now is bullshit. When people needed you on the main forum when you had your job, you didn't give a shit about them/us (at least MOST of the times). Asshole.

I'm kinda afraid about the fact that ChainsawGolem was the trap maker in TH/HH. I've heard DCs there are INCREDIBLE high at the moment.
