Whats out there in quality mmos?

Been out of the loop for almost two years and now just returning to the gaming world. Was planning on returning to play DDO and see how things are but with the news out there now would rather look for a game that is viable and growing that is not a WOW clone. Any suggestions?

Well World of Warcraft is not a WoW clone.
And still probably best. Or EVE.

Well defining WOW clones I should clarify WOW as well. You got to understand I have played mmos since the first ones.
Meridian 59,UO,Everquest 1 and 2, Asherons Call, Alpha and beta tested several. And of course DDO. WOW uses a very old layout and is just not what I was looking for.

Wildstar, Everquest Landmark/Next, Marvel Heroes Online, PoE(Path of Exile), FF XIV, ESO, Rift, Guild Wars 2, A Secret World.

You summed up why I'm getting bored of wildstar.

To be fair, you can have more than 5 skills in each game, but you've got to swap them in and out.

After getting used to having 10+ hotbars filled with skills / abilities / spells in DDO, I'll never get used to having a console friendly version with 1 action bar.

Been doing a lot of browsing of the current crop of MMOs and have to say find it it kind of depressing. With the improvement in technology and all the experience learned from the games before it you would think someone would build the better MMO out there by now. Think I am going to play DDO again for lack of anything out there that captures my attention in any form.

I am guessing they design them with ADHD kids in mind. Always go for the lowest common denominator  Undecided
