Maybe...just maybe these moves have been planned for a long time.

If reacting to unexpected layoffs = planned for a long time... this explains a lot about turbine.

I've never done anything like SCA. But, two different SCA memebrs I worked with in the past told me that SCA women are easy. One of these members was a woman.

I'm just reporting what I've heard...

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Yeah, that's what I'd heard, but after nearly 2 decades of marriage when I hear that I think "And Lief Erickson named his new settlement Greenland"

But seriously, the SCA connection could be quite good. I've played with the Boston branch and they have some very creative and hardworking people there, people who take the time to research what they do and do it right. They also have more than their fair share of self important pompous jerks, but that group tends to look down on LARPers and gamers, so I'm hoping she's of the first type Smiley

If anybody catches her SCA name, post it and I'll spill any dirt I know.

Maybe...just maybe these moves have been planned for a long time.

So the plan was to shuffle papers while relying on increased sales of stones and hearts from a decreasing number of players - while ignoring the rubbish xpac and insane number of bugs.

Mission accomplished !

And Epic TBC is going to suck. Of all the packs to make epic... just retarded.

Haunted Halls and the raids could be good, but on past performance it is quite obvious that you will screw these up as well. In ways we will never have imagined.

She got the job by default most likely.

I worked in top level management in the exciting world of for-profit prisons. Gutting staff was all about cutting payroll checks to increase profits. You get rid of the experienced and qualified people then hire idiot's and give them waivers on job requirements and experience requirements and pay them peanuts while convincing them of the great opportunities they are getting. Eventually some of them figure out they are underpaid and demand more $. Then you just fire the enlightened sucker and offer another bottom feeder making nothing a new "opportunity." When companies pay below industry wages it's amazing how many people are willing to climb there way up the shitty corporate ladder (bugged in Turbines case I am sure) in order to get an "opportunity" and make just a few more peanuts than they did in an entry level position. You just play to there ego and there all over a shitty job. In are case upper level and corporate staff got bonuses based on saving $. So if you drank the Kool-Aid then by gutting people who had been around for a while you were actually upping your own take home pay. It's a vicious business. I'm sure Turbine/WB has some sort of bonus structure. Just about everybody does now. I'm sure that the top 2-3 people in Turbine land are happy as long as they are cashing a good bonus check and probably think to hell with everybody else.

It's about making money. I am sure they took the least popular pack to epic in order to sell the most copies. If you eipc'ed a pack everyone owned no one would need to buy it. And epicing a existing pack saves a tone of time and money over making a brand new pack. Therefore it stands to reason that Turbine would Epic whatever pack has sold the least as the best profit strategy. Personally I think they just need to rethink the whole Epic thing and separate the Epic packs from the heroic and Epic the vale or something but just not give it to you for free if you buy content because you already own the heroic version. Then perhaps user happiness would go up rather than down over us getting an uninspired pack when we already are up to are ears in shitty pirate content. The strategy they are working would seem to show that there are not a lot of VIP's since they get the content for free if they are actually pushing packs to Epic based on low pack ownership numbers. But then again what the fuck do I know I'm just a jackass posting on the Vault. Maybe I got it figured out all wrong.

If that's the case, please start doing more planning with respect to the game mechanics and long term goals of the game than job positioning.  It'd be really nice to see some cohesion from one update to the next.
