you have to complete it once and then the 2nd run through play the extended version. when you get to whisper in the extended version tell him you want to sneak/fight the white dragon and then attack the white dragon.

The best quest they ever made is haunted halls. Not even close to being close. Spent hours in there today. ON EH, EE, EN. Played it like 8 hours over...
